Exciting news! We have today announced a major new partnership with Dundalk Institute of Technology @DkIT_ie which will see it become a University College of Queen’s. This new partnership will enhance #StudentMobility and shared learning opportunities across the island of #Ireland, strengthen #Research and #IndustryCollaboration, open up new funding opportunities and support economic and social development within the #DublinBelfastCorridor. The partnership will see the #Dundalk campus embedded within Queen’s academic and quality assurance systems, meaning that its students will receive the same standard of education and award as those studying in #Belfast. And from September 2026, students enrolling in the new University College would graduate with a Queen’s degree. We also plan to develop a joint Research and Innovation Centre on the Dundalk campus, with projects that will focus on areas such as #Health and #LifeSciences, #Energy and #Sustainability. “This is a hugely significant and exciting development for both institutions. Queen’s and Dundalk Institute of Technology share a strong commitment to #WideningAccess, enhancing research, and supporting #RegionalGrowth. “Dundalk University College will allow us to deliver high-quality education to more people and strengthen our shared ambition for the wider region.
