@AwayDaysFB ITV really needs to start rethinking the Matterface/Dixon main commentator scenario. Apart from the obvious adverts, that is the main reason people flick back over to BBC. The rest of ITV’s coverage was top drawer this World Cup.

Saddened by the death of Kevin Keegan. But what a life he had. Packed so much into those 75 years. Made the absolute most of his abilities. Loved by everyone I think. He was one of us. Wore his heart on his sleeve. Everyone knew he was genuine. He'll be sadly missed. RIP King Kev

@dcmaok I started off in Texas, got a fee holiday in 95, did a 3 City tour in 99, Orlando (Florida), Las Vegas (Nevada), New York, went back to Hollywood (01)and then back Las Vegas and Hollywood another 3 times. My first wife and I loved old films and back then I liked a little flutter

One of the annoying things about this World Cup for me was the constant panning of the cameras to 'celebrities'. To be honest, I didn't know who half of them were. Some of them looked about as interested in 'soccer' as I was in them.🤷‍♂️

@dcmaok I have been to USA 7 times Stuart, Hollywood 4 times and believe it or not I have never seen a celebrity there, but I had Sky for 20 years and saw all the pageantry that goes on, I didn't like it either. As far as I am concerned they can shove it where the sun don't shine😉🤣🤣

@clarabowlover I am sure I will go sometime over the next 10-20 years. But I'm one of those history nerds. I like beautiful old buildings & all that jazz.🤦‍♂️ So Europe has always been more appealing than the US. The US is also so vast, was never quite sure where to start.

@clarabowlover I've never been to the US, Richard. I know lots of British people have. (Including many of my friends) The UK has close ties to the US. But for me personally, well, I feel much closer to Europe than the US. I'm not a fan of 'celebrity culture'.😁

Beautiful that Trump had to present Spain (a country he hates) with the World Cup trophy. 😊 A fitting end. Now, can we just get rid of both Trump & Infantino? The pair of them are a stain on humanity.

We'll never know, but I think we would have found Spain a tough nut to crack in the final, if we had managed to beat Argentina. In the end, I think the best team won the tournament. So, 2 years to improve. And we're on home turf in the Euros.🙏

@clarabowlover The BBC definitely had the B team out when it came to the pundits! I like Steve Wilson on commentary to be fair, but he seems to play second fiddle to Guy Mowbray.
