This account began with screenplays + AI writing experiments. Over time, though, I realized my real foundation is 18 years in design—across agencies, in-house teams, and freelance. That’s the lens I’m bringing to agency positioning and branding now.

And this isn’t just advice for others. Publishing it has given me a clearer picture of my own brand, so in the coming weeks I’ll be realigning my elements and online presence too. If agency positioning is something you wrestle with, the notes live here: agencypositioningblueprint.com

I didn’t set out to write a course, but those scattered notes eventually took shape as one: The Brand Agency Positioning Blueprint.

@dconstruktd @jeannevb I actually struggled for a week after watching it because I couldn’t find a show that matched it’s vibes and anything I watched was just “meh” in comparison!

I do two things: • Put on my writing playlist which consists of a whole bunch of songs from movie soundtracks • Read through what I’ve written from top to bottom—even my random written notes Reading while listening to epic music makes it feel more like a movie in my mind and hypes me the hell up!

Would love to know if any of you have pre-writing routines ... like things you do to trick your mind into "oh, they're about to write, so we better focus" #PipelineWriters

I'm super new Twitter (along with its checkmark) and I can kinda already see where you're coming from. But Medium, I've loved so far, I write whatever I want, whenever I want, to like-minded readers who actually want to read what I have to say. Good luck to you, and I know you'll have a blast exploring other platforms!

Yvonne Gerner 🍊 Screenwrite your life
This is goodbye. I will no longer pay for the checkmark. It just doesn’t do what it promised to do. Yes, the long from posts are great, but that’s about it. Nice to write them, but no one sees them. So what is the point? I came to Twitter in 2022 to hone my writing, connect with people and build a business. Back then I had no clue what this business was going to be, and I still don’t totally know. And that’s fine, I love the uncertainty. I’ve learned a lot from the fellow creators I connected with. No doubt about it. But they are not my clients. And that’s also fine. The reason no one sees my post is easy to grasp. I encourage people (at least that was the plan) to grab their potential, to live the life that fires them up the most. This platform, like any other, is not interested in that message. Why? Because people happily living their lives are not scrolling on social media. So it resonates that my content is not preferred. If I were venting about the state of the country, the political issues, and any other content that would keep you in anxiety, a state of depression or at least stressed and hustling, then yeah, they might show that to others. So for now I will pivot, once again. The writer in me will use this platform to connect with other writers, in small dosages. I’m on the greatest adventure and that does not come with a lot of online presence. And I will write too, using the magic of 280 characters. I still want to encourage people to live according to their soul. I want to inspire other writers to go for it. So there will be the occasional post around that. And I feel so much lighter just putting this out without the intention to attract possible clients. It’s just too hard, and a lot of effort is no longer on my agenda. Let it come easy. I will hand this account mostly over to the protagonist in my script. Say hi to Mia. Mia is me 10 years ago on a very bad day. So she will be venting. Watch out for that. Ok, rant over. I’m done. Or rather, I’m starting over as myself. Not as the sh*tty unfocused CEO of a super small unaligned company. And maybe this is a huge mistake, and I’m killing off what was about to burst through into a full-blown success. I guess I'll never know. But I can’t preach to follow your heart, while I ignore mine. That’s just not fair to anyone reading. 🥂 So here is to all our hearts, to the craziest dreams we hold dear. To the fear that is holding us back, and that is allowed to be there until we no longer can ignore our calling. Here is to leaps, and forever leaping. Cheers, see you on the other side!

I just learned that young people these days play beer pong with water and their drink of choice in hand instead of cheap beer and I’m suddenly Clint Eastwood telling everyone to get off my lawn.

@HarbertKatelyn Love this! You always have to remember to take a step back, take a breath, and allow yourself to celebrate those small wins. Wrapping up a horror film, however, is a massive win! Congratulations!

My short horror film is finally done. I did it. Writing, producing, directing, casting, props, location. For a budget of $1k I did what I could and tried to make the atmosphere fun and encouraging for cast & crew. Is it a masterpiece? No. But it’s an accomplishment.

All the screenwriting advice about pages 1-10 is designed to do one thing: earn the confidence of the reader. Let them know they're in good hands. Try to do much more than that, and that line between impressing and reeking of desperation gets pretty blurry.

My bf's in a mood. Put the Beekeeper on. Wouldn't turn it off. John Wick with bees. Jeremy Irons came on-screen and said "you've disturbed a beekeeper, I can't help you." He sighed, got up, said "today's a right off", and went to bed?? Now I'm stuck here with the Beekeeper??

If you are tempted to add more plot to your screenwriting, stop. Ask yourself if you've fully explored the plot you already have. Are you leaving emotional moments on the table? The audience rarely needs more plot. What they want is more emotion.

I haven't written a singular thing for the past two days. I've been too busy spreading Managed Democracy—and it feels gooooood. #Helldivers2

Okay, here’s my idea on how to get a movie produced. Bear with me as I’m still in the early stages. Do NOT tell me it won’t work, b/c it will. First, I start a Ponzi scheme…

Ahhhh, I gotcha. I've heard about the benefits of doing something like that. It's supposed to help you better understand structure, and pacing and could even aid in expanding your vocabulary. Buuuuut I can see how time-consuming that could be, ha. It'd have to be a screenplay that you're absolutely in love with and don't mind obsessing over. Even though you didn't like that exercise as much do you feel like you learned anything from it? Or do you think it was mostly a waste of time?

@dannyvwriting @cordjefferson No, separate exercise. Had script on one screen and final draft on another and just typed it word for word. I heard good things about the exercise typing what a pro types and seeing/feeling the word economy. I can’t say I liked this one as much as it took FOREVER
