On the night of 07-08 May 2025, Pakistan attempted to engage a number of military targets in Northern and Western India using drones and missiles, all of which were effectively neutralised by the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems. In response, Indian Armed Forces targeted Air Defence Radars and systems in various locations in Pakistan. The intense unprovoked firing by Pakistan along the Line of Control has led to the loss of 16 innocent Indian lives and our forces acted decisively to silence the hostile fire. Reviewed all the ongoing projects under the National Broadband Mission in the State including pending RoW permissions to be obtained from the State Government in the 6th State Broadband Committee meeting, today. TSPs were asked to expedite their tower installations and other related activities and complete the projects within the timeframe ( December 2023 ). Meeting also deliberated on setting up of Digital Communication Readiness Index of the State, and holding of regular District Level Telecom coordination meetings. Directed the Secretary IT to take weekly review meetings and update the progress accordingly.
