#NorthBengal Connectivity Restored: #TrishaktiCorps Reconnects Siliguri and Mirik Acting swiftly on a requisition from the civil administration, #TrishaktiCorps under the aegis of #EasternCommand established an initial 34 metre foot bridge across the Balason River at Dudhia after incessant rains washed away the existing crossing, thereby restoring vital connectivity between #Siliguri and #Mirik and providing access for citizens towards Pashupati Phatak as well. Based on the same requisition, preparations are underway to launch a Bailey Bridge for restoring vehicular traffic and facilitating the movement of stranded tourists. Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri @SethSanjayMP attended the valedictory ceremony of the Indian Army’s Mega Eye Care Camp ‘Drishti 2026’ at Military Hospital Namkum, Ranchi. Organised under the aegis of @easterncomd by the Brahmastra Corps from 16-19 June 2026, the initiative provided advanced ophthalmic care to nearly 2,500 beneficiaries, including veterans, #VeerNaris, military families and residents of tribal areas, with 393 successful eye surgeries conducted. Addressing the gathering, Shri Sanjay Seth commended the specialist medical teams from Army Hospital (R&R), New Delhi, and all members of Team Drishti for their dedication, meticulous planning and spirit of service.
