I don’t get why iced coffee I make at home tastes so ASS!!! it’s all the same ingredients as at an overpriced coffee shop so what is the problem? is it because I don’t have any tattoos? like I’ll get a septum piercing I swear to god I will
I'm down--I like fireworks, great timing, love the treats my coworkers bring in for everyone, hate to be a stick in the mud while half the town is celebrating. But I don't wanna overstep either. Where are we at rn wrt appropriation vs melding? Feels like a shift is coming
@MildCuthbert I'm totally ignorant about book publishing clout and I am surprised that The Vegetarian won any awards. Maybe I am too desensitized because the sf bay area is already full of malnourished vegans doing hand stands in the woods.
@ddddarby I think you're right but I'm guessing it's not as widely read in English? The Vegetarian and its English translation won her the International Booker Prize in 2016. That's how I came across her work and I was living in Korea at the time. It was a big deal.
thinking of renaming my business from KL Media to something else— here’s what I’ve got so far
“Nothing Illegal LLC”
“Spaghetti Squadron”
“Loser Club 1979”
“Four Penguins Trying to Repair a 2006 Pontiac Grand AM Inc.”
“Laughter Heart Emoji Death”
“Walmart 2”
I've been wanting a typing practice app for Korean that let me paste in custom text depending on what unit I'm studying. I used claude ai, which very obviously copied code from free tutorials online, but if I'm honest that's what I'd be doing anyway. claude.site/artifacts/c12e…
I made a 🖥️ digital 🖥️ bumper sticker that shows what I'm listening to on Spotify at any given moment! It's fully open source and came together pretty quickly tbh

@ddddarby Clock app fyp has turned into generic fuzz, deep fried memes with some music and anime shitpost fyp is gone. Reels is still pretty normie core but that is its job. We have lost the culture.
it finally happened, reels content is art tutorials, creative content, DIY stuff I like. Clock app is mind numbing engagement farming. I spent an hour trying to search for art, cooking, homebody stuff I like, unfollowing/refollowing creators, and my FYP stays terrible.
Two years into selling second hand clothes online as a casual and what I've learned is I should price for resellers, not for people who are actually trying to wear these clothes.
