Because now you’ve got a situation where: a goal that, by the law, should be ruled out… stands a red card offence… gets waved away And people will say ‘it evens out over the season’, no it doesn’t! Not at this level, not in a title race. You’ve got Michael Oliver on the pitch, VAR in his ear, and between them they’ve still got both calls wrong. That’s not pressure, that’s poor officiating. I’m telling you now, if that’s the standard, then we’re going to be having this same conversation every single week. And Professional Game Match Officials Limited have got to answer it, because right now, it just looks like inconsistency at the highest level.”

Listen the Hurricanes are obviously the better team all around, but the fact that the Flyers beat the Penguins Wednesday night and then had to find out Thursday at almost midnight that they’d be playing on the road against one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference on Saturday is a joke.

@PenguinsJesus I’d sit the core against the Caps. With Tom Wilson out there with nothing to play for other than to ruin the Pens season, just don’t trust it.

On load management, I don’t see the Penguins resting any players for the sake of rest. But I do expect that any player not in the next lineup was playing through a lingering injury that may have been damaging their on-ice play. It’ll be interesting to see who is in or out.
