With high probability, any local neighborhood of a random d-regular graph looks like a tree. Sure, that's fine. But so far this week, four (4) people have (independently!) brought up this fact to me. What is going on???

The problem with the problem of evil is it only makes sense if you assume God exists, the very premise you’re trying to disprove. If God doesn’t exist, there’s no objective standard to judge a reality as evil. If He does exist, by definition good is whatever He does!

The NYU Courant relay team has won the Fred Almgren Memorial Relay Race for the second year in a row! The annual event is a 25-mile relay foot race between the campuses (and math departments) of Rutgers and Princeton—the 49th race was held in New Jersey this past weekend 🏃

The 47th Fred Almgren Memorial "Mayday" Race was held last weekend. It's a 25-mile relay foot race between the campuses of Rutgers and Princeton. Courant's relay team—Aidan Lau, Paco Rilloraza, Edward Zeng, Tianyi Wu, Nick DeFilippis, Albert Zhang, and Douglas Dow—placed first!
