@ManRenaisance @tombogert With all due respect, everyone here is losing their heads over a cultural luxury. There are terrible things happening in the world to people and yet a bunch of people just want to whine because they think that they’re owed cheap tickets to see a band they love.
English

@dds_119 @tombogert With all due respect, I think that’s a cop out. If the system is broken, in a democracy it’s incumbent upon the citizenry to speak out. It’s not just about those in a position to make change.
English

We, as a society, desperately need to make “tickets cannot be scalped or resold” the norm. Or tickets resold with a strict cap on upsell. It’s gotten absolutely insane.
Adam Crafton@AdamCrafton_
Important point on this: These tickets cannot be scalped or resold. Non-transferable and will be given to winners on the day of the games, at the site from which fans will be transported via (free) buses to MetLife Stadium.
English

@dds_119 @tombogert It is so obviously not a free market, so your point is nonsense.
English

@SonicTempleFest @Kerrang Had it all…except Stephen Christian from Anberlin. Why was he promoted as making a live appearance with the band but then was M.I.A? I’d like to know what happened.
English

@TheGoodDr03 @tombogert Trust me, friend. People are going into thrift stores, buying loads and loads of clothing for nothing and then selling them online for a HUGE markup. And just like with ticket market…local thrift stores are way more expensive than they used to be.
English

@dds_119 @tombogert Yet-to-occur concerts or sporting events are not the same as previously worn garnets with a little life left in them.
Nobody’s buying your well-worn Levi’s for a 100% markup
English

@mafris @tombogert Lol…uh…ok, dude. Sounds like a pretty good argument there.
English

@dds_119 @tombogert Reselling business hurts the economy in the long run.
English

@ManRenaisance @tombogert There is a lot to be upset about. I can affirm that. System is not perfect, it just is what it is. You have to either put yourself in position to actually make real changes…or play the game in whatever way makes sense to you.
English

@dds_119 @tombogert Because the system is rigged. Platforms (esp Ticketmaster) facilitate early bulk purchases before tickets go public. They do that because they make their fee on the bulk buy and again on the (massively inflated) resale. It’s virtually a monopoly. That’s not free market.
English

@tombogert Man, this person JewelPaint posted a reply but then blocked me, like a coward. LOL…some people just want to scream and be heard but not have to listen to anyone else 😂😂
English

@tombogert This is a really stupid take. In a free market, why are you so against anyone legally and freely engaging in buy-resell business practices? Are you equally as outraged by people going into thrift stores to buy-resell clothing?
English

@jonhawks317 @Rayswag_ @tombogert Glad someone is thinking. No, my perspective isn’t that fans stop going to events. But the lunacy of that idea is just as ludicrous as people attacking reselling practices.
English

@dds_119 @Rayswag_ @tombogert If your perspective is that an entire population just not attend live events to force prices down, while noble, isn't grounded in reality.
English

@JerseyGeneral34 @tombogert That is good, you should be! Tickets for events are a cultural luxury. Clothing is a necessity. Taking advantage of good-will facilities offering affordable necessities is way worse than people reselling tickets for a luxurious lifestyle.
English

@JoeyMcTighe @tombogert Lol…you sound like a teenager. Hope you did well on your finals this week.
English

@Rayswag_ @tombogert The fans are the freakin’ problem! Lol…if fans for live events didn’t pay ridiculous prices than the prices would go down. Your argument and perspectives on this are not good.
English

@BradDaugherty43 @cavs @Mark25Price How are they letting us go through the playoffs without you guys covering the broadcast? Hope to hear you guys next year!
English

Looking forward to an exciting series! Play for the guy next to you. Let’s go @cavs! #LetEmKnow

English

@ColumbusCrew Nailed it…basically. This team is quite predictable this season.
English

@ColumbusCrew My prediction is…we find a response…and then the Red Bulls score two more. End of night.
English

@FApocalypse Honestly, I had no idea what death metal was before this festival. I don’t really like all of it…but you guys have something great! I’ve been excited for your set for a while. See ya tomorrow!

Tomorrow, 2.25 PM, Altar Stage.
See you soon, Sonic Temple

@SonicTempleFest @SonicTempleFest will you guys make an official update to the Thursday schedule? On the updated band poster, it looks like 200SW are pushing Attila/Bodysnatcher/Carnifex sets all up. Is that correct?

Let's talk about what @BernieSanders intentionally left out. These companies paid billions in payroll taxes, state taxes, property taxes, and excise taxes. Federal income tax is one tax, not the total tax bill. You know this. But because you are a corrupt looter, you pretend as if they pay no taxes at all so you can generate outrage, so you can loot even more.
You have been in Congress for 35 years. Every single tax provision that allowed these companies to pay zero federal income tax was written, passed, and signed into law by the institution you have been a part of since 1991.
You also left out that 40% of American households paid zero federal income tax in 2025. By your logic, they are not paying their "fair share" either. But you will never say that because your entire political career depends on pretending that only corporations benefit from the tax code you helped write, even though in reality no one benefits from them.
These companies employ hundreds of thousands of Americans whose wages generate billions in individual income taxes. They produce the products and services your supporters use every single day. The car your followers want to drive was built by one of these companies. The flights they take are operated by another. The electricity powering their homes comes from another.
You do not want tax reform. You want a shakedown. And you have been running it for 35 years.
Bernie Sanders@BernieSanders
If you paid $1 in federal income taxes this year, you paid more than: Walt Disney Citigroup CVS Kohl's Ticketmaster Tesla United Airlines GoDaddy Paypal Palantir Roku HP 3M PG&E Halliburton That’s absurd. We need real and progressive tax reform.
