@ServusDeiVivi I’m not debating your claim. Please read what I’ve written. I’ve stated I have no desire to debate if there are prophets or apostles now. I am interested in your statement “Apostles had a function, served that function, and were no longer needed. Same with Prophets.”

Mormons outright fail to comprehend that the Apostles had a function, served that function, and were no longer needed. Same with Prophets. The reason they refuse to accept this is because, their entire church's existence REQUIRES the need for ongoing/restoration of revelation.

@ServusDeiVivi It really isn’t complex. Do you believe that in the future there will be prophets again? Yes or no?

@dds_dave I did answer, you just don't like my answer, and trying to paint a complex question into a "yes or no" answer is dishonest lmao

@ServusDeiVivi Why can’t you answer? Yes or no. I have no intent to debate you on whether there are existing prophets and apostles today. I merely want to point out to you your terrible, nonbiblical theological take. So what will it be? Yes or no

@dds_dave Except it isn’t. Saying that something is going to be useful in the future does not mean that it is currently useful, and the fact that it was useful but no longer is, means that it did in fact serve its purpose to completion. Enough with the semantics, you know I’m right.

@ServusDeiVivi That was never my point. My point is that your statement — “Apostles had a function, served that function, and were no longer needed. Same with Prophets.”— is false

@dds_dave If Jesus says that something will happen at the end times, does that mean there needs to be an ongoing succession of that thing UNIT then, or does that mean that Jesus can give us prophets when he needs to, proving that they are not CURRENTLY needed?

@ServusDeiVivi I am disputing your claim that “Apostles had a function, served that function, and were no longer needed. Same with Prophets.” Revelations is clear that there will be prophets again. Do you disagree?

@dds_dave Are you seriously asking why something happening at the end times doesn’t need to be happening right now? lol

@FatherChrisVor1 Hi Father. I’m still looking for a response here. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for you to be specific
ddsdave@dds_dave

@FatherChrisVor1 What history have we recast? Be very specific as you are making a historical claim, not a religious one

You know what is so terrible about the way you guys do this. If you really go and look, you make it all personal. It’s not theological for you. You just attack me as a human being. Look at what you say. You imply that I said Mormonism itself is a cult. That’s not what I said at all. You’re so blinded by hatred, a hatred that I’m not even convinced you realize that you are holding in your heart that you would say something like that. And read the other very long post that the other man made, there’s very little theology there it’s a personal attack against another human person. But that’s what Mormonism is. It’s all based on how you feel, it’s based on your personal experiences. It’s based on emotionalism. Not a single person in this entire conversation since my post has actually wanted to sit down and say hey, how do you define a Christian and why do you think we don’t meet that mark? Let’s talk theology? Nobody has said that. At least none that I’ve seen. It’s been childish, emotional BS just like this.
Kirk Armstrong@TravelbytheCoin

@Santo_Andyroo @FatherChrisVor1 Yup. The laziest form of anti-morm'ing has to be the most cliche'd "they're a cult!" But the more insufferable Chris-types often throw in the passive/aggressive requisite "but we love you!" after they call us brain-dead robots. Amirite, Chris? 🙏

@JasontheLayman If god called a prophet today, what are you expectations. How would you be able to recognize he is a prophet?

Why was the Book of Mormon needed? To proclaim Joseph Smith as the prophet of the restoration. In 2 Nephi 3, he actually writes himself into fictional prophecy and LDS members completely gloss over this obviously incriminating evidence that their cult is a complete sham.

@3ringTruthBack @Salt_n_Smoke @Rultpwr Nowhere in here does it ever say he recounted his testimony. That he ever walked back his witness. That he only saw with “spiritual eyes” like you claimed. Anything else? And please try to stay on topic

@a_simple_bowman Of course we have unbiblical beliefs. God isn’t limited to the Bible and never has been

It’s a good thing I’m a Protestant. In all seriousness, if this is the BEST you have to defend the many unbiblical and heretical beliefs of Mormonism, you don’t have an argument. I have many criticisms for Catholicism, but I can still safely say that many of them are saved. I cannot say the same for Mormons.
Matt@MattTestifies

Praying the rosary while calling Latter-day Saints cultists is wild. My brother in Christ, you’re repeating the same prayer 50+ times with beads in your hand. Maybe sit this one out.

@3ringTruthBack @Salt_n_Smoke @Rultpwr Not yet. You made claims. I asked you to back them up. You couldn’t. Why would we go there when you couldn’t finish where we started. It will be the same circle Back up what you said here. Finish this topic, then we move on. Otherwise, time is valuable and I have better uses
TruthTeller@3ringTruthBack

@dds_dave @Salt_n_Smoke @Rultpwr Which accounts? The ones that later said they only saw the plates with spiritual eyes? Or the one where the guy had his own visions as well, but they disagreed with Smith’s visions, so Smith said he was working for Satan. 😂 It only gets worse from there.

@3ringTruthBack @Salt_n_Smoke @Rultpwr You act like I’ve ever seen that before. This isn’t second grade If you have anything you’d like to add about Martin Harris and his witness to the Book of Mormon, please do, but have a source ready. Otherwise, it takes more faith to believe your position than it does mine✌️

@3ringTruthBack @Salt_n_Smoke @Rultpwr From your response I take it you cannot back your claim. That’s disappointing. I was hoping you had something worthwhile. Well, this is where I leave you to enjoy the rest of your evening. I wish you really were a truth teller though

@dds_dave @Salt_n_Smoke @Rultpwr Truth backed sources? A Mormon asking for that type of source is ironic. How’s this for a source? Ready to discount and spin the words of your own leaders? Get outta here 😂

@3ringTruthBack @Salt_n_Smoke @Rultpwr I see you are having fun arguing with others and are failing to provide any evidence. Feel free to respond with truth backed by sources since, according to your handle, you are a truthteller
ddsdave@dds_dave

@3ringTruthBack @Salt_n_Smoke @Rultpwr I already know that you don’t know because you said “accounts.” The account is from John A Clark who interviewed someone who said that Martin saw them with “the eye of faith.” So someone reported that someone said that Martin said… this is your best evidence Meanwhile
