p3 - It is already common for businesses to have "winter hours" and "summer hours" so they're perfectly capable of adjusting to varying daylight without forcing clocks to change.

p2 - The cited 93% result was only a vote against changing the clocks twice a year, it wasn't a vote saying permanent daylight time was the best option. They need to do the survey again properly so to better know what people really want.

p1 - The BC Government survey about the time zones was an abomination when it happened, its results are meaningless and not trustworthy, because they didn't even present permanent standard time, the best option, as a choice, so voters could only pick between 2 inferior options.

Roddenberry in the 1960s was not as anti-Christian as he sadly became later. It's very easy to reference the TOS episode where the crew, including the ever logical Mr. Spock acknowledges Jesus Christ to show that it most certainly is a Christian show. The ethos of "we must stop and help any distress signal," the cardinal rule of Starfleet, is very much rooted in the parable of the Good Samaritan as well. Roddenberry did want to push a story that would have been anti-Christian in the movie era in the 1970s but fun fact -- one of the producers was a devout Catholic and squashed it on behalf of maintaining our Christian sci-fi property. I'm not revising history; that's what the radical left does when they try to pull the "woke" card in 2025 for their abominations of radical gender ideology, which are definitely contrary to the Christian/Catholic faith. We can go over the strict military customs of Starfleet and how expansion of the human race exploring "manifest destiny" are most certainly Right Wing if you'd like as well.
