@TaylorRMarshall @firasmodad Exactly, but the complete other way around. Embrace the reformation brothers.
English

When I was an Anglican priest, I would meet Catholic priests who called me “Father” and said things like, “I’m praying for your priestly ministry.”
This reinforced for me that I was approved by Catholic clergy and was therefore “valid”. It did terrible damage to my soul and it was very uncharitable of them - although they didn’t intend it. They confirmed me in my error.
This is why I am against fake ecumenism. It set me back.
The first Catholic priest who ever challenged me, saying I wasn’t a priest and that I should become a Catholic, was Msgr James Conley, who told me so in a friendly but firm way at a cafe in Rome by St Anne’s Gate in 2006. He’s now Bishop Conley of Lincoln Nebraska. Thank you, @bishop_conley
My opinion is that Pope Leo (a cradle Catholic) does not fully understand how he is reinforcing Anglican errors by assuming kindness and encouraging their sacerdotal acts. The Anglicans interpret it as “full approval and 99% Full Communion.”
Sometimes Protestants just need to be told “Let’s be one. True unity is in truth and communion. Protestantism is lacking and wrong. It’s time to become fully Catholic.”
Do you agree?

@CatholicDeacon And a false religion.
As Peter said: "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit." 1 Peter 3:18
English

Catholics do not go to Mass because it is “inspiring.”
We go because Jesus Christ is there.
Body.
Blood.
Soul.
Divinity.
The same Jesus born in Bethlehem.
The same Jesus crucified on Calvary.
The same Jesus risen from the tomb.
On every altar.
At every Mass.
Still giving Himself for the life of the world.
This is why the Eucharist is not a symbol.
It is the beating Heart of the Catholic faith.

@AceAnarchy720 @kaizen000000000 You are just as wrong as all those who worship creatures rather than Jesus Christ.
English

@deManvdDominee @kaizen000000000 Explain how humans are worshipping creatures??? Atheists exist and are tricked FAR less frequently than religious ppl
English

@ThatEricAlper Why are you posting this L, I thought you were an atheist.
That's not an answer to the question. How do you decide?
English

@UcheMaryOkoli But Mary brings the gifts of eternal salvation.
CCC 969
Why not just ask her?
English

@UcheMaryOkoli Do you claim otherwise?
Let's try this. You pray repetively to mary to make me a catholic. You follow me, and see if I change my mind. If you accept then I'll set a reminder in 1 year to message you to thank you.
Deal?
English

The idea of Transubstantiation is fundamentally inconsistent with the very nature of Christ. You claim to receive the "Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity" of Jesus, but you cannot literally eat God. God is Spirit (John 4:24), and the Divine Nature is impassible and immaterial. Even if your doctrine were consistent, you would only be consuming Christ’s glorified human body. By claiming to "eat God," you are confusing the two natures of Christ, essentially falling into a form of Monophysitism.
Furthermore, the context of the Last Supper is a Passover Seder, not a Greek metaphysical laboratory.
During Passover, the head of the house points to the elements and says, "This is the bread of affliction which our fathers ate in the land of Egypt." No Jew at that table believed the bread in the father’s hand had literally transported through time to become 400-year-old Egyptian dough. It was understood as a memorial (anamnesis).
Just as the Passover lamb was a physical type and shadow of the "Lamb of God" to come, the bread and wine are the physical symbols of the New Covenant. Jesus was standing right there in His physical body while they ate. To suggest they were eating the person standing in front of them while He was still alive is a narrative absurdity.
If Jesus had intended a literal cannibalistic act, He would have had to explicitly explain this since the disciples wouldn't have understood it without explanation. The disciples weren't really that bright, as you might remember.
To insist on a literal interpretation is to ignore the Jewishness of Jesus, the liturgical context of the Passover, and Jesus’s own explanation of His metaphors.

@Xtopher_Uzo @RalphAJacob If it's not wrong, then list me all 45k denominations. Clearly you've got some evidence to prove it.
Be honest, do you actually know this or are you just repeating something you've heard from your catholic teachers?
English

@deManvdDominee @RalphAJacob It isn't wrong. I was just trying to round up to the nearest 10k until I realize that I was wrong. So I corrected myself

The Catholic Church is ROMAN.
-But then, the Catholic Church is COPTIC.
- The Catholic Church is ETHIOPIAN.
- The Catholic Church is ERITREAN.
- The Catholic Church is MARONITE.
- The Catholic Church is SYRIAC.
- The Catholic Church is SYRO-MALANKARA.
- But then, the Catholic Church is CHALDEAN.
- The Catholic Church is SYRO-MALABAR.
-The Catholic Church is ARMENIAN.
- The Catholic Church is ALBANIAN GREEK.
- But then, the Catholic Church is BELARUSIAN GREEK.
- The Catholic Church is CROATIAN GREEK.
- The Catholic Church is GREEK BYZANTINE.
- The Catholic Church is HUNGARIAN GREEK.
- The Catholic Church is ITALO-ALBANIAN.
- The Catholic Church is MACEDONIAN GREEK.
- But then, the Catholic Church is MELKITE GREEK.
- The Catholic Church is ROMANIAN GREEK.

- The Catholic Church is SLOVAK GREEK.
- The Catholic Church is UKRAINIAN GREEK.
One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church - 24 rites, one faith, one Lord. ❤️
The Catholic Church is not just Roman. It is UNIVERSAL. It embraces every culture, every tradition, every tongue while keeping the same Apostolic Faith.
This is the Church Christ founded. Not a Western club. Not a denomination. The FULL Church.
Protestants, keep watching. The truth is bigger than you were told.
English

@Xtopher_Uzo @RalphAJacob See @RalphAJacob, he thinks it's an actual number.
Maybe people like you should try to convince your fellow catholics to stop using this deceptive figure of speech.
English

Plenty of Churches have done a lot for incredibly long for the global south. I'd rather not have secular states "helping" the global south, because the secular state expropriates its own citizens to spend their money badly.
Anyway, you've got some awefully nice stuff in those churches you have, how about you sell those and give it all to the poor in the global south?
English

@RalphAJacob @Xtopher_Uzo I'm talking to @Xtopher_Uzo he first said 40k, then corrected to 45k. So if I grant that the 40k is figurative, then clearly he's not thinking its figurative if it's "actually 45k"
Anyway, why use this misleading figure of speech at all?
English

@deManvdDominee @Xtopher_Uzo We are not being deceptive. The 40K thing has been used by Catholics to refer to Protestant faith for generations now.
English

@Xtopher_Uzo Clearly there are not 45k denominations.
You made that claim, prove it.
English

@Xtopher_Uzo @RalphAJacob Ah, so it's not literal. That's not what you said, you first said 40k, then 45k.
Why are you being so deceptive? You clearly don't love the Truth.
English

@Xtopher_Uzo Here's a quick gemini seach result:
As I said, you're being lied to by your "church".

English

@Xtopher_Uzo List them.
So where is the evidence that Christ left us a specific human priesthood that is not identical with the church itself?
English

@deManvdDominee Well you are right 40k is wrong. It is actually 45,000
