One thing that annoys me about German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) is how long-term everything here is What to go to a gym? Minimum one-year contract with a 3-months cancellation notice period Want to quit a job? Notice 3 months in advance Rent an apartment? One year minimum rent period, and you guessed it - 3 months cancellation notice Want to have a decent massage, have a grill in a park, access government services - be ready to book 4-5 weeks in advance (best case scenario) That is super unfriendly to remote workers, nomads and in general people who don’t want to plan too much in advance and live spontaneously (the energy I vibe with) This is why living in a German-speaking country may be great if you are rich and 60+, but terrible if you are young and entrepreneurial For young high energy people intense capitalist countries like Poland, Thailand, or the US might be a better choice

Man, Swiss taxes are insane. I was playing with numbers, thinking how much to pay founding engineers and wondered about net income. CHF 100k (~127k USD) translates into just CHF 12k taxes. Not only that, but the government has a special website for citizens to calculate this.

Okay guys, had a few cultural shocks in Spain: > Go to the gym, opens 10am on a Sunday > Go to work from a coworking, closed > Go to a coffee shop, no wifi Absolutely unthinkable in a barely productive economy like the US, yet alone UAE. Europe is a daylight museum.

Die linke Panik-Propagandamaschine wird angeworfen. Nichts davon wird passieren. Die kleine Schweiz hat aktuell knapp 9 Millionen Einwohner. Die Argumentation des Migros-Chefs ist also absoluter Schwachsinn. Der Zuzug kulturfremder Migranten schadet der Wirtschaft, Gesellschaft und dem Sozialstaat.

@Bundeskanz50246 Das Kind hat es nicht geschafft, also hat er vollkommen umsonst das Leben anderer Leute riskiert.

Das ist doch wohl echt nicht wahr - seine Frau hatte starke Blutungen und Geburtswehen, ein Krankenwagen war nicht verfügbar (deshalb ist er selber gefahren), das Kind hat es leider trotzdem nicht geschafft und jetzt beharrt die Stadt auf eine Strafe von 400€ und 1 Monat Fahrverbot weil er selber und zu schnell gefahren ist ins Krankenhaus.

Wenn du vom Zwangsgebühren SRF als Rechtsextremist diffamiert wirst, und am nächsten Tag in Zürich dich für Veganismus einsetzt, hast du alles richtig gemacht im Leben.
