And that needs to start with @UKLabour standing by the pledges they made to #WASPI women before the election. That betrayal has cut deep and will lose Labour many votes as it did yesterday.

Last night, Green candidate Hannah Spencer won the Gorton and Denton by-election, overturning a long-held @UKLabour seat and proving there is an appetite for parties who stand up for fairness and accountability. Labour’s refusal to honour the pledges it made to #WASPI women before the last election has had real consequences — including last night’s result. Justice and fair compensation are backed across society, including by young people, this is about trust, accountability and basic fairness — not generational divides.
