He holds a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering, a Master of Science in Systems Engineering, and a Master of Military Operational Art and Science. He is a Captain in the U.S. Navy. During his career as a pilot, he accumulated 3,500 flight hours in more than 40 aircraft, over 400 carrier arrested landings, and 24 combat missions. He deployed three times to serve his country. I am proud that he was pilot of the mission. This proves that merit works.

I don't believe many of you have truly studied the peacemaker talk. You may have read or listened to it, but there's a big difference between hearing it and studying it. Being a peacemaker means standing firmly for truth, but doing so without being mean-spirited. It does not mean staying silent or only saying nice things while someone we care about engages in self-destructive behavior. That kind of silence isn't Christlike, It's actually unkind. What the Artemis II astronauts did over the last 10 days was a testament to their bravery. And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. Thanks to everyone at @NASA for making this mission possible, and for taking us along for the ride.

Pilot Victor Glover has 3000+ hrs in 40 aircraft and 400+ carrier landings. Mission Specialist Christina Hammond has 300+ days in space as a flight engineer on the ISS. To say they are on the Artemis crew bc of “DEI” and not bc of their merit is both racist and sexist.
