culture degrades because you live in an inherently exploitative system that destroys culture because it doesn’t generate profits. quite literally the USSR is the reason why we still have extremely prominent cultures like the Georgians, Azerbaijans, and all the steppe cultures because they revitalised them. cultural centres were built all across the peripheral communities and they literally INVENTED written language for some of these groups.
