@Winn_on_Health In the late 70a and into the 80s there was Marks at Bethlehem royal and Maudsley approach. But over at Middlesex there was Viv Myer, think I have that right. He was from, I recall championing more of the cognitive strategies. It was Marks who set up the nurse therapy training

@AshleyFulwood It was the standard treatment in the 70-80s. I worked on with Prof Issac Marks unit. The unit also had showers with a timer. When the C of CBT started take hold we started to see divergence in treatment strategies.

@DanH_9 My son is 17 and we had this correlation tribe turned out 10 years ago. We regularly had him out of school for about a week or so every year and when 10 we took him out for a year. My older kids had missed school days. It’s not missing school days that matters but why.

@oldandrewuk @DanH_9 Same with mental health waiting lists. Which may have been about need or the slow erosion of workforce.

We all know why they fell. But that doesn't make it aceptable to claim that they didn't fall. It doesn't matter if one can say "well the actual facts don't disprove my narrative". Misinformation is still misinformation. Saying things that are not true is wrong. Morally wrong if deliberate. Factually wrong if accidental. The problem with saying that exclusions are rising when they are falling is not one that can be resolved by saying they only fell due to lockdown. The problem is that anyone who says exclusions are rising when they are falling is lying.
