Both in real life and in the pages of my thrillers, the weapons and gear a person (real life) or character (fiction) chooses to protect themselves and others, or in service of a mission, tells me a lot about them.  My protagonist in THE FOURTH OPTION is Chris Walker, a modern-day gunslinger and philosopher, a man whose soul belongs to a previous generation, a generation that believed sometimes the only way to uphold justice was by breaking the law.  The weapons he carries in his 80s-era VW Westfalia Syncro Vanagon speaks to his capabilities and mindset.  Every piece of gear included in THE FOURTH OPTION was chosen with purpose.  The pistols, rifles, shotguns, blades, optics, timepieces, kit and vehicles all tell a story.
