Just been sent this by one of the blues 😂 I never thought I’d see the day when Liverpool Football Club became a laughing stock. But there you have it. Manchester City 4-0 Liverpool 💙

FAB statement about the re-scheduling of fixtures and our call for meaningful consideration to be given to fans by the PL and broadcasters, and for robust Club support on behalf of its fans.

Today was everything good about Everton FC. A manager that understands what Evertonians crave. An elite stadium primed for European football. A team that fought for every single ball. A fanatical and loyal fanbase that most clubs would die for. UTFT

@KieranMaguire Were one of those unnamed individuals involved in the appointment of Richard Masters? Serious questions need to be asked here.

I wonder if the unnamed person who approved the illicit payments to agents and others at Chelsea is connected to the unnamed person who approved a £35m payment to an unnamed Chelsea director after the sale to BlueCo took place. The 28 page PL decision document, which reviewed 200,000 pieces of evidence, does not name those who signed off on dodgy deals, why the silence?

📽️ From Donald Trump to Britain's wind power trade body, there's a growing coalition calling for more drilling in the North Sea. Raising the question: if we DID encourage more exploration, how much oil & gas could we actually get? Our MEGA primer on the North Sea👇 Ps it's longer than usual, but it turns out this topic has SO MANY misconceptions. Time to put some of them right. Let me know what you think

At some point, senior Premier League execs have to offer a proper explanation in public for their leniency towards Chelsea. They owe an explanation to fans of clubs punished more harshly. They owe an explanation to those clubs who did abide by the rules. They have to offer some explanation as to why PSR breaches are deemed far more serious than acts of "deception and concealment". Yes, these are the offences of a previous regime at Chelsea. But inconsistencies run through the PL's defence and their reputation is damaged. They can’t hide from a controversy of this magnitude.

When Everton were sanctioned I felt sorry for them, but wrote a piece understanding the PL's position. Daft of me. I accepted the 'rules are rules' argument and assumed there would be consistency going forward. Instead there has been none. PL wanted 12 pts for Everton!

£47.5m is more than double Everton's breach that led to a Premier League record sanction of 10 points being deducted (it was recalculated to 6 on appeal) While this is a different charge, the commission said EFC "gained no sporting advantage" but still agreed a deduction.

Updated: Chelsea receive £10.75m fine from Premier League for secret payments to players + unlicensed agents during Abramovich era. £47.5m spent off the books to sign Hazard, Ramires, David Luiz, Willian, Eto'o, Schurrle, Matic. thetimes.com/sport/football…

🇳🇴 Norway took its oil wealth and built the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund — investing in pensions, healthcare, and the future. 🇬🇧 Britain sold ours off in the 1980s, handed control to private corporations, and spent the revenues on short-term tax cuts. 🔴 Today, Norway has one of the highest standards of living in the world — while the UK is stuck managing decline. 🔵 Thatcher’s Conservative govt was responsible for handing over control of North Sea oil to private corporations, dismantling public ownership, and prioritising free-market policies over long-term public wealth. Thatcher forfeited long-term public income from oil in favour of short-term privatisation proceeds and tax cuts. 🔴 Norway, by contrast, retained public control and built up the $1.6 trillion Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund from its oil wealth. The UK spent most of its oil revenues on general government spending during the 1980s, with little legacy investment.

So many fans find it hard to believe that Moyes hasn’t had final say or input in transfers at the club so I’ll let you make you’re own assumption from this, this was aired 2 months before he got the job at Everton. Makes sense why Thelwell “the uni student”was released 👍🏻
