In the nicest way possible, United not signing a midfielder is basically a big up yours to the manager and every United fan. They know it's a massive glaring issue in the team and are leaving it exposed for an entire season. Money over football as usual

Interesting to see what happens in next few days for United. They need 3 points today, a new experienced keeper (that can handle prem) and a centre midfielder. Without these, it’s when not if the manager loses his job.

I pray something clicks and we crack on, but the tactical, personnel and in-game issues are so obvious now it’s a wing and a prayer. Maybe United panic and sign a midfielder (which might have a small impact) but that isn’t going to fix systemic weakness.
