I got introduced to heardle a few years back. The game on the day I got in 1s. A year or so after that I discovered @Britpopple and have been playing ever since. Today that first heardle came up on Britpopple :-)

@timb_machine Something where I wanted to run data to get a formatted date stamp to write a log file for each timed run. Had to escape the % in the date format string as they are newline in a crontab.

@deanx What did you break/fix? :)

So, turns out % is a special character in a crontab file. Who knew? Well, vi did, should have trusted its syntax highlighting.

@ian_rutson 6 looks like the biggest UK inaugural Saturday too. A couple of them in 2019. Still a long way from the biggest global at 17. These numbers are really impressive and I’m in awe at all the good work you guys at #parkrun do.

@deanx Ah, I was working on the 'event start date' not 'date of first event' which can be different... Conwy Nature Reserve juniors was cancelled on its first week but 'start date' not adjusted. Let's hope there's 6 one Sunday soon ;-)

Between 2009-2012 there was a TV show called Getting On, which was the funniest and most realistic account I’ve ever seen of working in the NHS. Does anyone know if there’s any way to watch it in the UK? I never see it repeated anywhere. A snippet ⬇️

Really happy with the @OutnAbout_UK Nipper Sport Double v5 I’ve been running with the last couple of weekends. Unfortunately the mesh pocket netting has been rubbing on the tyre so now has a hole. Any suggestions on fixing?

The wording is better on the more information page. “You need to have known the applicant, or the person making the application personally for at least 2 years”.

@HM_Passport you seem to be asking that I find someone who has know my 6 month old child for 2 years.

So, today I did a thing that felt like it had meaning and purpose. All the young people talking had incredible stories and I hope the improvements asked for have the impact needed.
