@crotchner2 Addison is a true gender neutral name. There were two addisons in my biology class last semester and we differentiated between them with “boy Addison” and “girl Addison” (they both went by Addi as a nickname as well lol)

@xonphused Sin often "tastes good". Sweet things aren't always healthy. water is better than orange juice.

@JerLisa_Nicole Georgian here—Atlanta. Only Atlanta. Savannah was never even brought up unless in the context of it being the first capital of Georgia. I’m currently a 10th grader, if the age difference has something to do with it.

Hi hello. No judgement here but what city were you taught the capital of the state Georgia is? Because some of us were taught wrong.

@Darkshaman98 @GutokuEijin If the Japanese audio said they live in a mansion, and the translation says they live in an apartment, would you consider that an appropriate translation?

The majority of “localisation discourse” is people saying shit like this and thinking they’re smart
Captain Crewslayer@1ManRaid

@KarlReiter5 It's almost fun to see how many different ways the Japanese word "hai" gets translated. Like, full on sentences in English for a one syllable Japanese word.

One of my favorite things about the haikyuu dub is when Iwa, Matsukawa, and Hanamaki all act like it's their first day meeting Oikawa. Like Iwaizumi saying "Hey you" or Hanamaki being like "This guy's a third year?" Like it's so funny to me they hate him
