This was when I was “randomly selected” for audit right in the middle of the 2022 election campaign. They didn’t just accept my explanation. I was forced to provide a signed Statutory Declaration and photographic evidence before they were satisfied. Fair enough — it’s taxpayers’ money. Therefore Anika Wells should be required to sign a Statutory Declaration confirming she met with South Australian State Minister Chris Picton — a claim Picton has refused to corroborate. If she’s telling the truth, why wouldn’t she sign one? Of course, if she’s lying, making a false statement in a Statutory Declaration is a criminal offence that carries up to four years in jail. So come on, Anika — what’s the problem, sign the Statutory Declaration. What are you waiting for?
