@debbiedons Hi Debbie. I would recommend reaching out to our team here 0330 1234 150. They are available and will be bale to help further.

@EE how can we contact your broadband service? My dad has been trying all day up get through!
English

@PostcodeLottery is your website not working. Can’t get on to redeem a gift card?
English

@vclark90_sm @storiesbyjemay No thank you. Hes born and bred in England so you can keep him. We don’t want our beautiful countryside tarnished by a nonce!
English

@storiesbyjemay Why didn't Charles banish him to a remote part of Scotland?
English

Is it true that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is not permitted to ride horses on Sandringham estate? That seems unnecessarily cruel. I've never heard of him mistreating horses, and the exercise is good for both Andrew and the horses.
He has been banished from public life because of his behaviour over decades, while in official roles. That's fair enough. And while there are ongoing police investigations, he is not, as of yet, facing charges.
He was rightly forced out of Royal Lodge, which he could not afford to maintain.
But it seems to me a petty and mean thing to prevent him from riding when the horses are there, and it would be beneficial for all if he rode recreationally.

@weeglesgapoet God has nothing to do with it. I want to choose how and when I die.
English

Last night Scotland chose life,
Not murder sanctioned by the state,
There is not a person walking this earth,
That should ever call on anothers fate,
God gave you life, and he is the one,
That should decide when it’s time to go.
Last night we dodged a bullet,
More than you will ever know…🙏👏✊

@allan_ronnie @A_MacLullich Same. I don’t want to be dribbling in a chair in a home. It’s no life and I would rather have the choice. It’s a yes from me too!
English

@A_MacLullich It's a yes from me, I don't want to have to step in front of the train or head up the hills with several boxes of paracetamol and bots of whisky, having witnessed both my parents withering away with cancer, my life, my choice, I respect your choice, please respect mine. 🏴🇨🇵
English

As an Edinburgh doctor working in elderly care medicine, I have written to my Members of the Scottish Parliament urging them to vote against the Assisted Dying Bill.
I can understand why people say they want this choice.
But my central concern is the risk to vulnerable older people: some would choose this not because of unbearable suffering, but because they feel they are a burden on family.
I do not believe safeguards can solve that.
The bill would then mean the state authorising medical participation in the deliberate ending of the lives of patients who, in some cases, do not actually want to die - but feel pressure from others, or feel a duty not to burden their families.
It would be a moral disaster if even one person chose assisted dying for that reason.

@MhairiHunter @theSNP Good luck in actually trying to find a place. Some private nurseries are saying they can’t do it as they can barely afford the existing free hours. They aren’t receiving enough funds to do it
English

@SandyofSuffolk Currently in Spain and I feel more welcome here than I do in the UK! The Spanish are much friendlier and happier
English

@SimonCalder Arrived in Alicante and was told to skip EES registration as we had done it leaving Alicante in November. Passport then didn’t work at E-gates so got stamped!
English

EU entry-exit system.
The whole digital borders plan is due to be complete within weeks: 9 April 2026.
But confusion abounds, eg:
“I’ve registered on a previous trip. Am I fast-tracked next time?” (No)
“Can I register my biometrics in advance?” (No)

@HMRCcustomers my husband got taxed on interest earned last tax year as it was over £1000. New tax codes for 25/26 and 26/27 have assumed that interest is going to be over the threshold. However it won’t be anywhere near. How do I inform of this change?
English

@PaulCha89812685 @SandyofSuffolk I’m quite happy with my 180 days a year with the cost of holidays now. No packing cases and hanging around waiting for luggage and paying peanuts for 6/8 week holidays
English

@SandyofSuffolk I just spent two months in Tenerife, there Christmas and New Year. £2,850 Euro's for a one bedroom apartment. Like you say who buys an apartment for £300,000 in their sixties that you can only use 180 days a year unless you get residency?
English

A Place in the Sun ☀️
Tenerife 🇪🇸
The bloke with the see through crocheted tops has the unenviable task of trying to flog an apartment to a fussy couple of 60 somethings from Co Durham who want to spend 3 months every winter in Los Gigantes lapping up the rays. ⛱️😎
They have 300,000 to spend plus wiggle room of 50,000. So not really wiggle room but a complete separate budget that's enough to buy another apartment in Alicante if they wanted one. 🙄
Now I'm no mathematician but 300,000 to buy an apartment you're only going to use for 3 months every winter doesn't sound like economic sense to me. Because you can rent an apartment there for 3 months for 3 grand, including bills. They'd have to go for 100 winters to break even. And they're in their 60s. 🧐🤔
Hmm. Anyway, I digress.
They have a pootle (yes, we pootle here in the UK) around the marina in Los Gigantes - where I used to live - see me on my balcony below. They head off up Cardiac Hill (it's steep, believe me) to view a beautiful modern apartment with a communal pool with views down towards the marina. But there isn't enough sun on the balcony. 🙄
They go further afield to Adeje up another steep hill to an apartment with sea views towards La Gomera. She loves it so much she's crying with joy. 😂
They view two more apartments, one in Puerto Santiago, which is just up Cardiac Hill from Los Gigantes. They like these too. But wonder if they're sunny enough. 🤔🙄 It's Tenerife FFS, of course they're effing sunny. 🙄☀️
The final one is a house with a south facing garden. Near the airport. So nowhere near Los Gigantes. But finally they're not wondering if it's sunny enough. Phew. They love it. She's blubbing again. 😂😭 Happy tears though. 😁
Well, has crocheted top cracked it?
Drum roll 🥁🥁🥁
The rickety table is wheeled out for decision time where the 'economists' from Co Durham tells us they've decided not to buy any of them but are coming out again 'soon' to look at more properties.🙄
Even the three glasses of orange juice are so gobsmacked, they've turned a ghastly shade of yellow. 🍊🍹😲

@ArmstrongT97969 @LesleyRiddoch @C4Ciaran Thanks for giving us a small portion of our own money back!
English

@LesleyRiddoch @C4Ciaran England gave a subsidy to Scotland last year of £14.3 billion. Where did all that money go?
English

Disappointed with @C4Ciaran’s report on student loan protest in England, adding only ‘Scotland has a different system’.
Actually students in England & Wales pay £9,535 a year for tuition fees - Scottish students pay nothing. Both pay maintenance. Not so complex really.
English

@SimonCalder wonder if this is something you can look into? Apparently non eu nationals who were coming over to stay with family were told to book an Airbnb or a flight back home if they didn’t have a carte de invitation which is issued by the police. This included uk nationals

@HMRCcustomers Yes the tax overpayment is hard to calculate due to redundancy mid year and starting to withdraw a pension but I know the lump sum withdrawn from the pension was overtaxed. I’m only looking for a date when it’s likely to be calculated

@debbiedons Have you received all of your P45s and P60s for the 24/25 tax year?
