Alot of "zero waste" fashion designs are bullshit tbh... Some are thoughtful and work... but sometimes people actually use more fabric than necessary in order for markers to have zero negative space (no wasted fabric)... most of the time resulting in ugly fits.

@SHED_mdrn_lvng 4/ here is an example of the garment instagram.com/p/CSzjs-mJQjL/… I would hope you couldn't look at me in the eyes and tell me it looks like sh*t. For WEB3 context, we also released this with Metafactory.

@SHED_mdrn_lvng 3/ I'll take this even a step further, for business, with Varsity Jacket company Settlemiers. Our ZW silhouette not only looks identical, but we reduced material consumption by 25%, saving $9 in materials- allowing us to manufacture an additional 10 units with the same material

@SHED_mdrn_lvng 2/ In fact, our problem isn't even what you're outlining- as a base our garments effortlessly don't compromise. We've made garments that look exactly as they should, but the innovation behind it is underwritten. "Looks like a regular t-shirt. Cool," is where we're at.

@SHED_mdrn_lvng 1/ Luckily we aren't B.S.! not sure if you're referring to pattern engineered garments, which is what we do, but founder @DanielleElsener has devoted her career to a working theory on zero waste with no sacrifice on fit and form.
