That’s one thing that is very admirable about Jains. They have maintained strict dress code and sanctity of their local Derasars and Pilgrimage places (atleast in Gujarat and Marwar). They also worship in same ways as their ancestors in medieval times. That’s also the reason I find this argument of “Hindus temple culture of north degraded due to Islamic invasion argument very bogus”. There is no reason to assume that what affected one dharmic community didn’t affect other. That degradation is the result of degradation of Hindu society and diminished respect for Brahmins/ temple priests.
