@kwandsssssss The noise in the stadium when that went in was insane. Nearly fell over the seat in front of me 💀 Never want to experience that stress again 😂

@magicalsilva21 He’ll get the support from those away from social media. In the ground he’ll be fine, on here it’s a dumpster fire all the time.

If Pep's really gone and if Maresca is the next guy then let us as fans of the club just give the guy a fair chance. Let's not call for the guy's head for no damn reason.

@IzzyChad @AdamHayton3 @architectstomp Any contract with Etihad will very likely come with the Co-op Live included for Raw/Smackdown/NXT and Hall of Fame. Huge issue though is the time it takes place, as Mania is typically mid-season so it would need to be in a stadium not in use as to not damage the pitch.

Places in England outside of London that could host a WrestleMania: Brighton - American Express Stadium Manchester - Etihad Airways Stadium Liverpool - Hill Dickinson Stadium Birmingham - Villa Park There is quite literally 0 reason it shouldn't come to the UK.

@AdamHayton3 @architectstomp Anfield is more likely as it already has event hosting outside of football in place, same with the Etihad. OT doesn't really partake in that likely for a variety of reasons. Etihad is the most likely non-London venue in England due to the ties to the Co-op Live too.

@Wesdinho_ Honestly, he’s spot on. Our ownership made huge investment for success and made the club self-sufficient in the process. And that’s being investigated. But plunge the club into debt and run on a revolving credit and that’s fine. Shows what the FFP/PSR purpose really is…

@ronanpatlee @mcfcman66 Built for the women with the academy also using it differs to ours being built for the academy (hence the official unsponsored stadium name of Academy Stadium) and the women using it. It’s a small but important distinction in the context.

@GregAFC89 @nuthatch123 @FlyingTrains1 Well, to be fair, I think that was through ownership fault more than anything. You had the money, but you also sold terribly (your record sale is still Ox) and recruited poorly later on. You still spent comparatively lots to get the success you had prior to that.

@deepcovergecco @nuthatch123 @FlyingTrains1 We also had to endure tough times after we built our stadium constantly selling our best players and not signing the top quality… you guys just played championship manager and brought it all which now could be if proven built on cheating… until it’s cleared there’s no debate

@GregAFC89 @nuthatch123 @FlyingTrains1 Hell, your ownership were instrumental in creating the very league that allowed this crazy sort of investment to happen. I think if more people were honest, they'd admit that their own clubs success is largely investment driven. Ours is no different.

@GregAFC89 @nuthatch123 @FlyingTrains1 Heavy investment brought Liverpool success in the 80s, United's success during Fergie (no matter how much they try to tell you otherwise), your success in the 90s/00s (you were called the Bank of England for a reason). Won Blackburn a title, brought Chelsea to prominence...

@GregAFC89 @FlyingTrains1 @nuthatch123 In case you don’t, let me make it even clearer. Our ownership could invest every single bit of their wealth into the club and it still wouldn’t be Saudi money. Are you there yet?

@GregAFC89 @FlyingTrains1 @nuthatch123 And he’s still not getting the guys point…😂 Of course we came to the table due to a change in ownership and investment, no serious City fan will tell you otherwise, but not a penny of that money was from Saudi. You’ll get there…

@GregAFC89 @FlyingTrains1 @nuthatch123 You still aren’t getting it. Without Saudi money we’d still be exactly where we are right now because not a single penny of Saudi money went into the club. That’s not denial, that’s a fact. I’ll let you work out why…

@deepcovergecco @FlyingTrains1 @nuthatch123 No I’m just not buying that nonsense that city fan tries to put out there and the fact none of you can just front up and say the Saudi money changed our club but it is what it is just shows complete denial and arrogance

@Davros1736 Assuming you're referring to ours, the Joie wasn't purpose built for the women's team, was initially for the academy teams. So whilst ours was probably the first to be primarily used for the womens team, it wasn't the first to be built for that specifically.

@Jackalbion96 @Wheddsta @Oween99 As a regular at City, having games at the Joie is so much better than holding them at the Etihad in my opinion, even if it's right next door. Give me a packed 7k there over 20k at the Etihad. Feels far better for atmosphere.

What’s the point though? Brighton men & women would never play a match at the same time if their home stadiums were next door to each other, so why not just make Brighton Women’s home stadium the Amex too? I understand the intent, but surely this is a colossal waste of money?..
Ben Jacobs@JacobsBen

🚨 Brighton confirm plans for the UK and Europe’s first purpose built women’s football stadium. The stadium will provide bespoke facilities for Brighton’s women’s team and represents a key milestone in the club’s 2030 vision. Work has begun on a planning application for the new women’s stadium located at Bennett’s Field. The location is immediately adjacent to the Amex. The new women’s stadium has been designed with a minimum capacity of 10,000 and will be connected to the Amex via a new bridge link. Significant progress has already been made on design work for the stadium. The club’s ambition is for the stadium to open no later than the 2030/31 season, subject to planning approvals. 🗣️ Women’s managing director Zoe Johnson: "The prospect of a bespoke stadium, built exclusively for women’s players, staff and supporters, is incredibly exciting. It is a project that is the first of its kind in the UK and Europe, and one of only three in the world, and will capture the imagination of stakeholders across the women’s game, not just here but globally." 🗣️ Tony Bloom: "Since we announced our intention to build a stadium for the women’s team in Brighton and Hove, we have seen unprecedented interest locally, nationally and internationally. It is a topic I am regularly asked about by many of our fans, clearly indicating the growing level of interest and potential for women’s football. "It is a significant further investment in our long term vision for women’s football at Brighton & Hove Albion. A women’s stadium in the city is essential to the continued growth of the team." 🗣️ Paul Barber: "With a capacity aligned to Women’s Super League regulations, the stadium reflects our clear belief in ‘right sizing’ the stadium to grow the fan base sustainably. A stadium ‘built for her’ is not only a significant capital investment for the club but one which we know will also benefit the city and other areas around the stadium through the creation of local construction jobs, apprenticeships and training opportunities for local people; further boosting the club’s already significant contribution to the local economy, and at a time when there is a great deal of economic uncertainty."

@UnitedDays99 He had an unlimited chequebook and none of the financial regulations that were put in place to stop clubs competing against you… Which rather ironically seems to have hurt you more long term.

@goonerforever07 @Matty_West64 @FPLfrasier You’re conflating popularity with advertising potential. The sponsors aren’t targeting the clubs fans, they’re targeting the millions who tune in on TV across the PL, CL etc. It goes far beyond the fanbase.

@goonerforever07 @Matty_West64 @FPLfrasier Now who can’t read? It’s fuck all to do with the broadcasting fee. It’s how many people view that match. Those sponsors are then all over that broadcast. There’s article after article of City’s viewership figures in the US. That’s what these companies pay the money for.
