@deerestnat It’s also ridiculous considering the film is wildly successful, meaning that any criticism levelled against it won’t destroy the film. There is no room to consider a slightly different read of the film, especially one that contends with misogyny. It’s ridiculous.

I think anyone who comes out of OBSESSION thinking that Bear is just an evil piece of shit, lacks nuance.... yes, he's selfish and ultimately tries taking advantage of a fucked up situation. But he's also very clearly unwell and mistrusting of a friend who's a massive POS.

@discorry The hockey players themselves refer to women like that in the books The books are literally “not like other gorlz” slop They edited the show a lot. Every fmc in the books wear leggings and a sweater and scoff at sluts, but Allie and Hannah dress in revealing clothes in the show.
