I’ll bang this drum every year but for the love of god we need a longer playoff season in the EIHL. That was by the far the most entertaining game of the season.
I’m not talking best of 7’s as it’s not workable but what’s wrong with the old format like in the HPL days?

So we're 300 new ST holders up on last season so far, and still in the Early Bird phase of purchase/renewal period.
That's not bad going, given we've had a decidedly underwhelming season so far..

Even if this was the case, the complexity of the legal challenges would be extremely significant and the public backlash would be frightening.

No matter how much you don't like it.
We had chances we didn't take to put the game away on that empty net, negating OT and therefore the Heard pen wouldn't have made any odds.

A smidgeon of credit for finding a way back to 2-2, but tbh we were lucky, we didn't create quality scoring chances really

@TomMerriman82 1. Agree fully. Since Boxing Day, the heads dropped far too easily.
2. Dreadful ice cut between P2 & 3. Dropped water all over the bloody shop whilst driving around the arena ice with their eyes shut, looking at the pattern they made.

Two things:
1. You can’t turn up for the first 20 and last 8 minutes of a game and expect to win it. Same weak mentality when we have any kind of adversity.
2. The ice is terrible, same every week (has no bearing on the result) just dilutes an already poor product.

@steelthepuck I don't get this money based stuff. The club has a strong commercial team and that generates funds that the coach gets for his team. The two are seperate. Given the mess we've been in financially many times before I don't have an issue with that

Regarding Fox, I really don’t think the club will get rid in the summer.
He has a year left on his contract.
We are a money orientated organisation.
Why would you pay up a yearly salary and hire someone else, if you could just let the contract run down?

Never mind us, I think that Belfast were quite poor this weekend.
Their tactics are extremely one dimensional and they are not an exciting team to watch.
I’d be worried if I was one of their fans. Mid-table finish on the cards next season for them I think unfortunately.

This. I have zero confidence in our ownership to find the right person. Maybe now they’ve steadied the ship they should look at selling the club on to someone who can take it up a level.

@steelthepuck Not the only sport. But every minority sport where finances are tight relies on the outside the game stuff to keep money rolling in. I remember a time with no on ice ads. Almost no dasher ads, a tiny 50 50 and a club that went bust repeatedly. That's why I put up with the crap
