I don’t think this has anything to do with women giving up easily lol. We literally carry another human for 9 months and go through hours of labor to birth a child. When it comes to risk, the majority of women prefer to avoid high-risk situations, unlike men, who tend to be more likely to take on risk because society has placed so much pressure on them to provide, hence the “whatever it takes” mindset. Obviously, there are some people who won’t fit into that box.

The reason there’s not more women in trading is the same reason there’s not more women in STEM. Because it’s fcking hard I designed this almost 10 years ago as an undergrad in my early 20s. The “washed out neuroscientist” bit isn’t a joke Trading furus have developed “easy strategies” (such as trendlines) to target women with, because they do not think they have the capacity to learn advanced concepts, such as orderflow or auction theory. (Which yield higher success/ win rates.) That is sexist. It sets them up with false expectations to make a quick profit. And by doing so, it basically guarantees that these girls try trading once and never tried it again. As a -40m freediver, rescue diver, photographer, scientist, snowboarder. I’ve never felt the need to emphasize the fact that I am a female in male dominated fields. If you do not possess the skill set to dive 20m or ride dbl black diamonds it doesn’t matter what gender you are. To be successful at trading is no different.
