Drew Allar should be the #Steelers QB week one. They need to find out what they have in him as quickly as possible. The 2027 draft has to many good prospects to be not sure

@DomDiTommaso 1000%? He hand picked his QBs. lol drafted Kenny which didn’t work, had Matt Canada trying to develop him. Then signed 2 retreads that no one else wanted for cheap so he could sink $150m into his defense that he still couldn’t coach enough to get a stop. He left them nothing.

The Steelers have the biggest QB mess in the NFL right now. Rodgers holding them hostage, overhyped Howard vs. bad Allar for who knows what role, a loaded 2027 QB class they may or may not utilize, and Rudolph hanging around. But their QB problems were Mike Tomlin's fault, right?

If you were hoping the Steelers were going to draft a QB in 2027, I hate to tell you that drafting Drew Allar likely means they more than likely won't be drafting another early round QB next spring IMO. I don't think you draft a developmental QB like Allar with the expectation of him proving himself as an NFL starter in Year 1. I think he's the type of guy you draft, stash & develop for a year behind a veteran, then give him his chance in Year 2. Now, obviously that plan could change depending on what happens this year, but at this point I wouldn't put too high of a percentage on PIT drafting a RD1 QB next year, for better or for worse.

Say what you want about Mlodzinski’s stuff, or how he grades out in Stuff+, in 4 of 6 starts this year, he’s failed to complete 5.0 innings. Pirates depth is razor thin. Jared Jones’ return is welcomed. And the Pirates can’t trade for a veteran starter fast enough.

pretty good draft for Steelers. Needed to take a LB round 3 though. Reached for a qb pick because he’s “local” 2 rds early just like they did 4 yrs ago. No shot they cut Rudolph so either Howard/allar will be on practice squad and I wouldn’t be shocked what so ever if it’s Allar.

They won’t go into season with 43 year old Rodgers and 2 kids who have never taken an NFL snap. And they won’t keep 4 QBs. Point is they needed a linebacker there and should have taken a QB who didn’t break his ankle 6 months ago in round 5. Other than that solid draft.

@MinkahBurgh39 Could argue lol? They have either a 43 year old, a bad qb who broke his ankle 6 months ago, a 6th round pick who didn’t play at all last year or Mason Rudolph.

No one’s talking about how this team has literally NO holes …. you could argue qb but id give allar + will a chance to battle it out, and we’re also probably getting Rodgers back anyways.

@steelers_n6tion 3 yrs without improvement is red flag. Also Klubnik didn’t break his ankle 6 months ago. 5th may be a stretch but absolutely could have used 3 3rd rounders and took him instead of the 5’9 170 lb kid they took in the 4th. Hope I’m wrong don’t think issues between ears fixable.

@deez22691 He was in college 4 started 3. Franklin had him running an RPO offense. Jets took Cade Klubnik in the fourth. I doubt Allar was lasting until the 5th. People are acting like Drew Allar was drafted at pick 21. lol

I went to school at Penn State, cheered for Kenny Pickett because I wanted the Steelers to have a franchise QB. People really need to out their college fandom to the side once they go pro. #HereWeGo #Steelers
