🇪🇸 A 25-year-old Spanish woman just died by euthanasia, and her lawyer claims the hospital pressured for it because her organs were already committed for transplant. Noelia Castillo had been raped by her ex-boyfriend, then gang-raped in a state youth center by 3 North African migrants in 2022. She jumped from a fifth-floor window in a cocaine-fueled suicide attempt that left her paralyzed from the waist down and was living with chronic pain and severe mental illness. Her father fought her euthanasia request for 2 years all the way to the European Court of Human Rights, but every court ruled in her favor. The hospital blocked her best friend from seeing her before she died, who said "I wanted to try to change her mind." @skirkmeal @hertamaxxing It’s fun seeing someone else say this, it’s how I view most religious texts. The Bible has some great stories! I view them a bit like Greek or Egyptian mythology, only it’s still actively tied to ppl’s identities and cultural beliefs
