Absolutely some gems in the new era casts and I’m sure a lot of them are victims to “good vibes”/“celebrating the game we all love” production and editing choices, but you’re getting any experience diversity when everyone is a middle class millennial with storytelling skills.

I feel like I’ve watched the exact same first four episodes on each of the last 9 Survivor seasons? Tribe phase wildly dull with no structure, thematic or even challenge changes. Doesn’t help that casting is largely comms managers, journalists and - of course - superfans.

Is the casting for this season of Survivor is ironically one of the least diverse in history? They’re all 20 something podcasters, reporters or marketing managers that make the season feel like Survivor Frosh Week more than something that claims it’s a “microcosm of society”

This season of Survivor has had mostly terrible gameplay, questionable casting and confusing production choices - BUT the absolute insanity around this Applebees Burger made for easily the most entertaining episode of the season
