Today marks 1 year of the Wenatchee returning to service as the largest hybrid-electric ferry in the country and the first to be converted. 5,500 sailings later, we are proud of the results. It's already saving up to 17,000 gallons of diesel each month. Once we install rapid shore charging, expected in 2029, we'll save 1 million gallons per year.  We recently introduced the world to the Wenatchee during the World Cup, showing our leadership on innovation and sustainability. During that time, it transported over 200,000 passengers and boarded almost 50,000 vehicles.

The Trump Administration recently announced it will not pursue at least one of the proposed rules, an unlawful attack on young people seeking medical treatment and gender-affirming care, following our pushback along with 30,000 public comments. We all share the goals of transparency and accountability for public funds. That is just a smoke screen for what these proposed changes really do: Force states to either bend to the administration’s political goals or go without critical funding for health care, scientific research, education, and more.

If you've been following me lately, you know that I talked about being Jesus-curious after Charlie Kirk's memorial. I never expected almost 2 million people to see that. Shawn and I are going to try church tomorrow. But how do you pick a church? People said to pick a good church. I don't even know what that means. I always thought that "church" was inherently good. Charlie's memorial wasn't even a week ago and it feels like ages ago at the same time. I want to feel what I felt during the music again. I want to hear someone talk about Jesus, not shame people like me for not knowing Jesus. I'm honest enough to admit that I'm afraid, I won't even lie. This is absolutely terrifying because I have avoided it for years. So how do we pick? What do we look for? How do you know you're not going to get sucked down the wrong path? What I do know is that I feel compelled to be a part of this.
