Most of the Hyperliquid community members are aware of the mysterious "mostRecentDistributionStartDate" : "2026-01-01" parameter in the API response on the Points page of the HL website. I asked ChatGPT about this. ChatGPT Answer (short version): "mostRecentDistributionStartDate = the start date of the most recent (or upcoming) Points distribution season... Why does it show "2026-01-01"? This date is intentional and signals that: - No Points distribution has started yet - Hyperliquid has pre-announced the next Points season - Points will only begin accruing from Jan 1, 2026" ------- ChatGPT confirms that this parameter is the pre-announcement of the new points season. I also support this assumption. The Hyperliquid team keeps this parameter in the API response for a reason. The points page is still accessible. This means we are close to something big… The start of the year is a good time for an announcement like this. HYPE is suffering from a bear market, and a new season will bring a lot of fresh money into the ecosystem. The 1st of January is soon. I made a mistake in my previous post about Hybra Finance @HybraFinance voting APR. It's not 220%... It's actually 390% APR!!! Currently, the HYBR price is 0.00238 USD, but there is a promo that gives +100% veHYBR if you lock your tokens for voting. This promo reduces the cost of 1 veHYBR to 0,00119 USD. The current voting rewards for Epoch 2 are 0.00009 USD per 1 vote. This is equivalent to 0.00468 USD per year if the fees remain at the same level. Thus, ROI is 13.2 weeks = 3.3 months. The APR is ~390%. You will return the money in 3.3 months and will start printing free cash... Don't forget that we are at a local bear market. Hyperswap @HyperSwapX TGE was a disaster. However, I see people starting to lose faith in the entire HyperEVM, which is completely wrong. HyperEVM =/= HyperSwap! Let's break down the situation with Hyperswap to see the real reasons behind the crash: 1. The first and most important reason is the INSANE circulating supply unlocked on day one. 25% of tokens were sold on presale. The entire presale allocation was unlocked on TGE. With 25% of airdropped tokens, we have 50% of the entire token supply unlocked on TGE. Half of the supply! To be honest, other factors below are just minor compared to this... You can't throw 50% of the supply into the market without the price crashing hard after this. Even during a strong bull market overall. 2. The points season was too long. Hyperswap should have had TGE in June. I remember that HS had 100M TVL and printed huge fees in June - July. There were no competitors, and the market conditions were much better. In this scenario, the community would be happy. 3. Not the best capital efficiency of Hyperswap pools. It's not a secret that with 40M TVL, Hyperswap prints 35-40K fees. It's not the best result. Hybra prints 30K with 15M TVL... And the ratio on HyperSwap didn't improve over time. 4. SWAP token utility is mostly a "long-term" story. I mean, the utility doesn't make me want to buy the token right after TGE. The buybacks will have an effect, but as I said, this effect will be long-term. I think the SWAP price will recover, but it will take some time. 5. The market affected the launch. BUT in my opinion, it's not the most important factor of the crash. Insane supply is what killled the chart. THE CONCLUSION: Hyperswap TGE =/= HyperEVM. Hyperswap is just one project with its "inner" factors that affected valuation a lot. The poor TGE of Hyperswap doesn't mean that all other protocols will have the same outcome. Each protocol is DIFFERENT with different tokenomics, token allocation, and revenue streams. Be smart. Don't follow the crowd that says "HyperEVM TGE season is cooked." Each project is DIFFERENT, and there will be gems! #Hyperliquid
