STRC- my honest take (without many numbers) By its nature STRC is mechanism that accumulates USD denominated debt and transforms it into BTC. Despite technically being a preferred stock STRC functions as a debt obligation since creditors are entitled to their payments even if Saylor decides to temporarily pause them. Monthly dividends do stack up and they burden MSTR the Co. What we are witnessing is Saylor buying BTC on a form of leverage that never clears unless MSTR buys back STRC and removes it from circulation. The market has welcomed a product that pays 11.5% a year and billions have poured into it. These billions were used to place a bid on BTC and the bid on BTC that did move the price made everyone cheerful of STRC and the genius of the design. The market cannot be that stupid to trust Saylor with billions can it? Let's investigate the track record MSTR topped at 550$ with mNAV >3. It currently sits at 124 with mNAV at 1.09 BTC fell by 35% since. MSTR has fallen by >70% This is how much over-hyped the buyers were about Saylor and his financial engineering genius in the previous round. They got rekt. Keep in mind Saylor has been accumulating BTC for 6years and his average is still higher than the current price. THIS IS TOTALLY NUTS. They keep on adding and adding on leverage. If BTC trades higher and the position closes out in profit all good If BTC stalls at the lows for a few years then the monthly dividends will become a problem and reflexivity will work to the downside. Extreme discounts might be witnessed on both BTC and MSTR I do not believe the STRC supply can expand infinitely unless we go into deep inflation territory- a future I cannot discuss. STRC needs to be removed from circulation eventually otherwise the payments will become a serious problem. A final note: MSTR owns 4% of the BTC supply. If they ever reach a point where they have to sell good luck. Who will buy from them and at what price?
