@mitsuhiko Good to have skill that takes care of upgrades and migrating breaking changes, i just had to tell my clanker to upgrade pi and rename flake input to new repo

@mitsuhiko @antirez It works, just a feeling that qwen 3.6 27b was performing much better locally in pi, i have to do more testing. Exciting times, at the moment i had a goose bumps as they performed similarly to big corp models

Nice! @antirez merged my tool parameter streaming changes into ds4. Means you can now just install the pi extension and you get great behavior from ds4 out of the box. Moved the extension into a separate repo now. You “just” need a 128GB Mac now. github.com/mitsuhiko/pi-d…

Nix for hardware design and development is the future. Imagine designing a chip and having a single "nix build" command that produces absolutely everything for the chip. You could have your OS, BSP, firmware, and GDS for tapeout or your bitstream for an FPGA.

Same, one of the reasons i stopped carrying about Claude, i dont need this kind of reliance for my tools, all the innovation is happening on harness level and they forbid that

Enorme aprendizaje para cualquier empresa de software que dependa de herramientas de IA en procesos críticos. Nunca hay que poner todos los huevos en una canasta.

My least favorite feature is that LLMs love to use "python3 -m py_compile" to validate python syntax and then create a bunch of __pycache__ folders

AI-generated replies really are the scourge of Twitter these days. Anyone know if it's from packaged solutions being sold as a product or if it's people mainly rolling their own custom reply-bots?

@mitsuhiko There is also a paper 'Executable Code Actions Elicit Better LLM Agents' arxiv.org/html/2402.0103… i like the idea too. As you mentioned this works great for things that LLM already knows well, until we start fine tuning for niche usecases and enviornments it want be that usefull

@RossComputerGuy Thank you Ross! I have been looking into tenstorrent for more then a year now, love what they have. Do you use Ampere Altra as your daily driver? I was thinking of switching to it.

I've begun unvendoring dependencies for tt-metal. This will make supporting Tenstorrent's toolchain on NixOS more possible. Currently, the vendoring of dependencies makes compilation complicated and may be a blocker for tt-mlir.

man linux with opencode is so fun everything in linux is cli/api first which means you can configure and automate every little detail too tedious before but very easy now

I'm sad that the one white colar profession that you can enter without a degree, that allowed people to break socioeconomic barriers (like in my case) might largely be going away, at least in the form of high paying jobs.
