Yesterday, I spent Easter Sunday with our dear President, Bola Tinubu, and my bestie Aliko Dangote. We discussed the economy and how Nigerians can benefit from the reforms. On a day of resurrection and renewal, Mr President was still working. That kind of commitment gives you hope for Nigeria 🇳🇬 … F.Ote💲

I returned to Ogun State today with a full heart. What I saw in Iperu is the kind of progress we must insist on as a nation. Quite deliberate, and built to last. The Gateway Cargo Airport stands as proof of what is possible when vision is matched with discipline. As I said, “Our investment is about our people. Today’s foundation is for tomorrow’s prosperity.” I acknowledge Governor Dapo Abiodun @DapoAbiodunCON for his focus and consistency. Development is not about noise. It is about decisions that improve lives. From the aircraft launched today to the electric bikes, tractors, and security assets, this is what progress should look like. Practical, real, and visible. “Development must touch every level,” and I am pleased to see that principle taking shape in Ogun State. Our Renewed Hope reforms are not abstract. They have provided more resources for sub-nationals and are creating room for states to act and deliver. Many states, including Ogun, are rising to the moment. We will stay the course. “We are building for people, and we are building for prosperity.” As they say in Ogun, “Ìṣẹ́ yá…” I say, “Ìṣẹ̀ ń lọ.” The work continues. - Bola Ahmed Tinubu President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria .@ngrpresident .@nigeriagov

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU APPROVES N3.3 TRILLION PAYMENT PLAN TO RESTORE RELIABLE ELECTRICITY President Bola Tinubu has approved the payment plan to finally settle the outstanding debts under the Presidential Power Sector Financial Reforms Programme. The debt repayment plan followed the final review of the legacy debts that have beset the power sector for more than a decade. The long-standing debts accumulated between February 2015 and March 2025. Following verification, ₦3.3 trillion has been agreed as a full and final settlement, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution. Implementation has begun, with 15 power plants signing settlement agreements totalling ₦2.3 trillion. The Federal Government has already raised ₦501 billion to fund these payments. Out of the amount, N223 billion has been disbursed, with further payments underway. What this means for Nigerians: With payments reaching the power value chain, generation will be more stable. With power plants supported, electricity reliability will improve. And as the sector stabilises, more investment, more jobs, and better service will follow. “This programme is not just about settling legacy debts. It is about restoring confidence across the power sector — ensuring gas suppliers are paid, power plants can keep running, and the system begins to work more reliably," explained Olu Arowolo-Verheijen, Special Adviser on Energy to President Tinubu. “It is part of a broader set of reforms already underway — including better metering and service-based tariffs that link what you pay to the quality of electricity you receive. “The government is also prioritising power supply to businesses, industries, and small enterprises — because reliable electricity is critical to creating jobs, supporting livelihoods, and growing the economy. “The goal is simple: more reliable power for homes, stronger support for businesses, and a system that works better for all Nigerians," she added. President Tinubu has commended all stakeholders who supported efforts to resolve the legacy issues in the power sector. He has also confirmed that the next phase (Series II) will begin this quarter. The day a Nigerian father in the UK called the police on his own daughter, people thought he had lost his mind but he hadn’t. He had simply understood the game before it destroyed his home. She is 14. Back in Nigeria? Calm. Respectful. No issues. Even when they first relocated to the UK, she was still that same good girl. Then suddenly something shifted. “Shut up,” she told her mother one day, when her mum corrected her. The mother froze. Maybe it was a bad mood. But it didn’t stop there. If her father spoke, she would stand chest to chest with him, eyes locked, almost daring him. Like she was waiting. Waiting for something. At first, they thought it was teenage phase. But this one didn’t feel normal. It felt calculated. One day, the father asked her to do something simple. She refused. She stood right in front of him and said, boldly, “I’m not doing it.” And then she waited. That moment… that silence… that eye contact… She was hoping he would react. You know that Nigerian reflex. That “I will show you I’m your father” reaction. But her dad did something nobody expected. He picked up his phone and called the police. The mother panicked. “Are you serious?!” He said calmly, “If I touch her, they will carry me. Let them carry her instead.” When the police arrived, he didn’t shout. He didn’t explain too much. He just said, “Please take her.” In the UK, once a child starts acting out like that, they often süsp3ct m£nt@l health issues. So the officers said they would take her for evaluation. The moment she heard “mental health” Her confidence disappeared. Immediately. She started begging. Crying.“Please, mummy… please, daddy…” But het father didn’t move. “Take her,” he repeated. And they did. That night, the house was quiet but heavy. The next day, social services showed up. They said, “She’s been crying non-stop. She wants to talk.” The father said, “Not yet.” On the second day, they said “She hasn’t eaten. She keeps begging.” Finally, he agreed to see her. The moment she stepped back into that house, She didn’t argue. She didn’t stand tall. She went straight to the floor. Kneeing. Crying. Begging. That was when the truth came out. Her friends in school had told her. Provoke your parents, they told her. Make them hit you. Report them. The government will take you away, give you a house, money, freedom, iphone with free WiFi. In her mind, she was about to upgrade her life. New phone. Freedom. Soft life. But she didn’t know one thing Not every parent will play the role you scripted for them especially Nigerians. Her father didn’t react. He redirected. And the script, flipped on her. -Uncle recounts his UK brother’s experience with his daughter. Posted as seen!

Myself and 3 other Nigerians have been unlawfully detained in Johannesburg airport for literally doing nothing, papers complete, visa valid and they literally just singled us out of the crowd for nothing, and onenof us's phone has been seized all day and hasn't been allowed to reach out to anyone. They are trying to take my own phone now, so I am putting this out so that the world knows that if anything happens to us, south Africa should be held responsible, please repost and tag the authorities concerned.. They are saying that they will detain us for no reason until God knows when. We are telling them that we want to book another flight back home immediately and they are refusing that. @abikedabiri @PoojaMedia @instablog9ja

David Mark’s daughter is in the APC. Atiku Abubakar’s son is in the APC. Nasir El-Rufai’s son is in the APC. Peter Obi's Son is in Agege. Yet you’re being told the APC is irredeemably corrupt. If that’s truly the case, why are their own children there?

We have said it right from time, if you feel the need to drag Tinubu, drag him. Leave Yoruba as a tribe out of it. If you need to cuss him, do that, just leave the rest of us out of it. He’s the one that is your President, not me or other people. You have something to say to him, say it to him. You want to be a bigot, come out with your chest. Stop using Tinubu as an excuse.

BREAKING: Governor Dapo Abiodun, alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will commission a 34MW gas turbine power plant, along with a 33kV/415 distribution network and an advanced end-user metering system; marking a major step toward reliable, sustainable energy for Ogun State and national growth. Yet Governor Dapo Abiodun isn't doing anything 😀
