@Retlouping Really interesting, David — especially since this isn’t emphasized much in current MDT curriculum. Would Robin 1st establish all movement baselines and then begin RM testing in sitting, or were repeated movements incorporated during the postural baseline assessment itself? Thanks

The slouch overcorrect exercise was McKenzie’s number one go to repeated movement test despite what others may believe or understand (I worked closely with him on a daily bais for three long, long years).

@Retlouping would this observ still guide ur treatment direction? Also, before progressing into lateral mvts, would you typically explore repeated Sagittal motion of the upper cs spine 1st? I realize individual presentation and context matter, love to hear your thought process. Thanks.

@Retlouping Great insight here, David. I’m curious how much clinical weight you place on this specific “head joint” loss observation in a patient who also presents with limited lower cervical extension and scapular pain. Would those additional findings alter your initial approach at all, or

Today’s episode of “old man shouting at clouds” is putting the head joints and neck joint episode and the Coupling myths episodes to practical clinical use and treatment suggestions. Apparently I can now embed photos and pics so we will see how it goes.

OMG todays offering from the Poulter PowerPoint archives is this 2006 presentation on differentiating shoulder from neck. Remember this predates the McKenzie EXPOSS study by some 12 years but I did teach most of the people who did the study. 😂 enjoy a blast from the past.

A ponderance: 🧵 Have you ever slept on your arm and wake up with a dead arm, or crossed your legs and your foot went to sleep? These are everyday examples of mechanically compromising a peripheral nerve trunk, leading to a temporary conduction block. Remember numb and weak.
