@NickADobos It's an @ElonMusk software project. Of course it's horrible. Dude has never overseen a successful software product. He bought all the ones that worm somewhat.

@LibertyCappy Robotics via DARPA funding and support. Neural Network tech. Lidar. Swarm tech. There are around a dozen advanced research administrations that funded research that spun out companies that took expensive shit and made it affordable.

@BenjaminDEKR I've never looked at a training data set outside a couple rows of it. And I've been doing NNs for about a decade. You find it, test it and see if it produces useful results. Then train the model with it. It would take years to go through a dataset, especially ones that big.

@zeDotenator @TwinCitiesDSA How stupid are these council persons? Minimum wage for Facebook and Twitter network users next? I use a phone network so minimum wage for using that too? Minimum wage for all independent contracts who aren't getting leads?

@BrianaRoseLee Uber does pay their workers. Driver partners are not employees of Uber. The are users of a network, like someone who posts to Twitter? Should every twitter content creator get a minimum wage?

@TylerBlackmon @lyft The business model is a stop gap to a self driving vehicle network. If people choose to use the Uber network to earn income, that is their choice to he self-employed. It's the same as a minimum wage per scroll on Facebook or Twitter.

Background: Drivers reiterated today that they see these threats as a bluff
The companies have argued other markets with pay minimums have made the financial math workable by addressing independent contractor status, insurance costs, etc

NEW: @Uber escalates, saying it will pull out of the entire Twin Cities metro over Minneapolis’ driver pay ordinance that takes effect on May 1.
“We will be forced to stop operating a transportation network in the entire metro area including the airport,” spokesperson says.

@OmarFatehMN Getting an exclusionary geofence preventing usage of the network isn't a win....why should business owners get a minimum wage?
English

@JamalOsmanMN Then get a job. There shouldn't be a minimum wage for people running their own business. Driver partners are not employees. I want a minimum wage for putting content on Facebook or twitter if this is the case.
