@BlondeOfWar I was in art school in the 70s when earth art was thriving. They were conceptual, more process than aesthetics. That this artist creates beautiful things that are eventually reclaimed by nature makes them poignant and also profound.

Jon Foreman is a land artist from Wales. He creates large, temporary sculptures that are eventually reshaped by wind and water, reminding us that beauty can exist in moments as well as permanent monuments. His medium is nature and his galleries are open-air forests and beaches.

@For_Film_Fans I did the costumes for a picture called Prancer in the late 80s which featured Cloris in a pivotal part. She was there for less than 2 weeks & in the bubble that is a film crew we were best fiends. She was a hoot off camera. Then you wrap, the bubble bursts & everyone goes home.

@vurnt22 A great photograph. There's an equally great documentary film about the making of the photo including interviews with many of the subjects depicted. I believe you can watch it on YouTube for free. Basie sitting with those kids is what speaks to me.

What I want to know about, are all the little kids in the front. How did being in that picture affect them? Did any of them grow up to be musicians? How did their lives turn out? Did any of them get a print? I betcha nobody thought to keep track. I’d be happy to be wrong.

86 was diner slang for “We’re out of that.” As in “86 the Yankee pot roast”. Never heard it used as a threat, no matter how lousy the Yankee pot roast was.
