Sentiment != Reality 1/ It's easy to say 'Depin is dying' (aforementioned rage bate) while many networks posting all-time-high metrics 2/ I'm sure @melt_dem and I would agree that DePIN token prices are down in-part due to poor revenue and tokenomics decisions by Founders. If these networks don't change they **will** die (I sold most of my DePIN tokens) 3/ DePIN models are for 'Networks' - the token & economic structure to bootstrap a centralized datacenter SHOULD be different and behave closer to debt than equity. Most DePINs don't require large CAPEX outlays, and operators seek network ownership vs financing. This ofc evolves as they become serial operators of multiple nodes If you are building DePIN or onchain debt financing let's chat. What is aircraft de-icing? ❄️✈️ De-icing is the process of removing ice, snow, or frost from an aircraft before takeoff to ensure safe flight. Why it matters: 🔹 Even thin ice disrupts airflow over wings and control surfaces 🔹Reduced lift and increased drag can raise stall speed 🔹Ice can limit control authority and engine performance How it’s done: 1. Aircraft are sprayed with heated de-icing fluids (often glycol-based) 2. Applied to wings, tail, and other critical surfaces 3. Performed immediately before departure in cold conditions No clean aircraft → no safe takeoff.

Wrapped up Breakpoint 2025 Probably the most sombre sentiment I’ve observed at a crypto conference in a while. Not a dig at the event at all; it was well organized. There is just a general sense of jadedness that pervade my conversations with builders, VCs, and traders alike. OGs quiet quitting/ effectively AFK, VCs not doing well, record redemptions for liquid funds, minimal net new projects, general stupor from builders carrying on out of inertia, not excitement. It’s not just price. Even in 2019, 2022, and early 2023, when markets were hardly doing great, there was a palpable electricity at conferences like this. A genuine belief that everything will be viewed through the lens of crypto one day, similar to how AI is perceived today. This time that’s rare. I had some conversations around DePin and DeSci that felt novel, but they remain a minuscule part of the market. Generally, the only semblance of enthusiasm from people is around more flavors of stablecoins, and more perp dex’s.
