US foreign policy has hit the bottom.

Das Israel von vor 80, 60 oder 40 Jahren war ein völlig anderes als das heutige. Die Regierung besteht mittlerweile aus sozialdarwinistischen und theokratischen Fanatikern mit Endzeitfantasien. Früher war die Mehrheit säkular und aschkenasisch geprägt – diese Zeiten sind vorbei. Heute haben Haredim und mizrachische Juden das Sagen. Israel trägt eine Hauptverantwortung für die Destabilisierung des Nahen Ostens, sowohl direkt als auch durch den massiven Druck auf die USA zu Interventionen in Syrien, Libyen, Sudan, Irak usw., und verhindert so jegliches friedliche Miteinander. Neben massivsten Kriegsverbrechen läuft aktuell ein Genozid gegen Palästina. Ich kann die Paranoia der Israelis zwar nachvollziehen es ist nicht einfach, umgeben von muslimischen Staaten zu leben aber das Ganze irgendwie kleinzureden oder gar schönzufärben, ist absurd.

Ich finde es strategisch brilliant, wie die Administration Trump mit begrenzten Massnahmen in Panama, Venezuela, Kuba und Iran — Israel stärkt — die USA stärkt — die NATO schwächt — Westeuropa schwächt — Russland stärkt — China schwächt — Iran zurückbindet — neue Allianzen mit den wichtigsten arabischen OPEC-Mitgliedern formt (Abraham Accord). Die Welt wird nach Operation Epic Fury eine andere sein.
