cant win baseball games when u dont wanna swing

The Yankees watched 24 four-seam fastballs go by for called strikes tonight That's the most by them in a single game this season. It's the 2nd most by any team this season (Nats had 27 on May 4th)

@ninatraaann It is something important because minority athletes especially African American athletes, are what make up majority of major college sports like football and basketball, yet they receive less opportunities as others. @abhornUCRedu #ucr150

@JulianMiggins @abhornUCRedu It is very sad & there needs to be change. The NCAA needs to start compensating athletes fairly, as they are already focused on academics and athletics, and should not have to worry about their next meal or finances, while the NCAA is pocketing millions. #ucr150 @abhornUCRedu

It's outrageous to witness the NCAA's relentless efforts to avoid fairly compensating student athletes, especially after high profile lawsuits. They persist in doing the bare minimum under the guise of maintaining amateurism. #UCR150 @abhornUCRedu

@chadbvel1 @abhornUCRedu I dont think its so much about where they get to transfer, but being able to be free to transfer in general, without receiving any penalties but it is important to tackle this problem! #ucr150 @abhornUCRedu

Balancing freedom and stability in the transfer rule is an ongoing challenge. How can we make sure that college athletes have a fair choice in where they transfer? #ucr150 @abhornUCRedu

@AndrewBobadil10 @annaacha I completely agree with you, coaches should be prioritizing players health, and unfortunately most coaches dont, because they care more about their wins and losses than making sure their athletes are 100% okay to return. @abhornUCRedu #ucr150

@AndrewBobadil10 @annaacha Hey Andrew I agree with you in how scholarships should be offered equally and fairly to all student athlete sports, both men and women, as they both look for a higher education and deserve the same opportunity in doing so.

@AndrewBobadil10 @annaacha Fair point, but as we saw also in the reading there is also exceptions where institutions are able to offer multiple year scholarships, although very rare. But it is unfair for that to be the case where athlete’s dont have much of a say in a renewal. @abhornUCRedu #ucr150

@AndrewBobadil10 @annaacha Hi andrew, I believe that you have the right idea, but as we saw in the readings scholarships are only used for academic fees, would it not be better to allow athletes to receive funding for other necessities as well? #UCR150 @abhornUCRedu

@BuclingBum17 @BuclingBum17 hi edison i definitely believe they should be compensated, but with NIL being a thing now, I believe they should be compensated with healthcare post graduation as they put their bodies through a lot for the NCAA’s benefit. @abhornUCRedu #UCR150

Do you think the NCAA should compensate student-athletes for their contributions to the multi-billion-dollar industry? #ucr150 @annnaacha
