This is the Charizard list that I played during some Post Rotation testing in Costa Rica. We went to the Perron Store, I played ~10 games, and haven’t dropped a game yet. I have a few notes that I’ll share since Charizard is more or less figured out:
- Rabsca might be better than Manaphy or Jirachi, but I’m unsure. They all get hit with Cologne, but at least I can block TM Devo. The space constraints are the same, and it only matters for a few matchups, but I question this decision a lot!
- I really want a 2nd TM Evo because I had it prized a few times, and going 2nd into an Arven feels so good! If I add a 2nd TM Evo, I want a 4th Arven, and probably want a 4th Arven anyways. Arven was very busted!
- Vitality Band was more or less terrible, and Defiance Belt would’ve been better in almost every circumstance. I played against Future Box, Lugia Cinccino, Ancient Box, Arceus Giratina, and Chien-Pao. Something to consider at least.
- I could see this deck cutting a Charmeleon or a Rare Candy for the above changes, still unsure. I’m thinking about all cuts in the deck, and I really don’t know what I truly want to cut beyond one of those cards.
- I could see myself adding a strong Fire type attacker, like Delphox V, or Gouging Fire ex, because this deck is so simple otherwise. Simple is good here, but the element of surprise is likely strong for EUIC.
Overall, this deck feels like the true BDIF heading into EUIC, and it is my top consideration. I’ve been grinding Post Rotation nonstop, and I feel solid in this format right now.
If you are looking for some help heading into EUIC, Orlando, or any other event - check my link in bio for coaching at @TryMetafy. If you found the info I shared here for free was helpful, I’m sure you can tell how informative a single session might be. If not, thanks for reading my post!

While it isn’t a huge surprise, Charizard Bibarel has been crushing it in my Post Rotation testing, and it’s gonna be hard not to play that deck for EUIC! I have a few ideas to make the deck even better, just gotta keep grinding more! Maybe its time to look into Zard counters 👀

4-0 🥇st place at the Jackson Michigan Arena League challenge with fusion Mew, same list that Lesse Puisto won the Malmo regionals with. Shout out to @TcEvolutions for the amazing damage counters and ability used markers as always, they’re the best in the business.
