@CareChampions2 @angiebeeb It's a pity elderly people in hospitals are not treated as well as the people in IPAS Centres. Families need to be able to visit their loved ones nearby, not having to organise a road trip to do so.

@CareChampions2 We had over 30% more public hospital beds in the 1980s when the country was broke and our population was significantly smaller and younger. It’s pure maths.

The Government employs 60-70 special advisers and media specialists at a cost of millions annually. It is the best-resourced communications shop in the country. It employs some of what we are told are the brightest and the best minds of erstwhile Irish journalism. And yet......

People may be charged up to €50 a month from January for blister-pack medication as Taoiseach vows to discuss with HSE Mr Martin said it had never been agreed that the State should pay and there was never any basis for its doing so. The Dáil heard that tens of thousands of older people with conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer’s rely on tablet blister packs to help manage their medication. #StopTheCharge independent.ie/irish-news/pol…

€125 million for Ukraine with a click of their grubby political fingers while simultaneously cutting a critical service for vulnerable elderly Irish citizens. Shame on @fiannafailparty & @FineGael. #BlisterPacks #Ireland #IrelandFirst

Cruel Coalition Minister for Health is not backing down on plans to charge for putting drugs in blister packs - Muiris Ó Cearbhaill Health Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill is unmoved and now patients, including elderly and vulnerable people suffering from illnesses such as dementia may be expected to foot the bill for the service for at least a year from January 1. Taoiseach Micheál Martin stated he does not want to see €50 price hikes - revealed in the Irish Daily Mail yesterday - for the pharmacy service, which is currently free. #Blisterpacks #CruelCoalition #FFG #CostofLivingCrisis
