@Kazanjy hey so i have an idea, instead of taking pics of them and making a post on x about it (which does nothing) why don’t you find your district rep and talk to them about getting people rehab? peter, you are another sf yuppy who sees unhoused, and does absolutely nothing about it

Waymo’ing with the eight year old to school, we drove past the bus stop where this picture was taken a year ago.
It’s of course overrun by fentanyl zombies this morning and one throws a beer bottle at the car that hits the door and breaks on the ground. Coulda been our window.
Sending them all to rehab clinics in the Central Valley is the mild option.

At 1 a.m. last night, I joined SFPD for a ride-along and visited several police districts—Northern, Mission, and Tenderloin. I got a chance to see overnight street conditions firsthand, including Hayes Valley, 6th Street, and the Mission BART Plazas at 16th and 24th Streets. What I saw was clear: we still have more work to do. Addressing these conditions requires all of our city departments working together, through enforcement, street outreach, and street cleaning—so that every neighborhood gets the clean and safe streets it deserves.
While SFPD is short hundreds of officers, the midnight patrol is often the most challenging shift. I want to recognize the officers I met last night at Northern Police Station, and all of those doing the difficult work out in our neighborhoods every day.

We’re doing things differently in San Francisco when it comes to homelessness. And we’re seeing results.
- Nearly 1,000 fewer people are sleeping on our streets compared to 2024—a major sign that our strategy is working.
- Unsheltered homelessness in San Francisco is now at its lowest level in 15 years.
- The number of people in tents is down 85%.
These numbers come from the 2026 Point in Time Count. The takeaway is clear: More people are coming inside to get shelter and treatment, and we are moving in the right direction.

@DanielLurie is aggressively endorsing ads against prop D. Keep in mind, organizations like the harvey milk club, intl association of firefighters, and politicians like bernie sanders support the prop. while Lurie and billionaires oppose it. Lurie is not a mayor for workers!
