Education institutions are under growing pressure to produce graduates who can operate in a world where decision-making, assessment, and productivity are increasingly shaped by intelligent systems. In line with the @Educ_SportsUg mandate for institutions to transition from lecture-based models to 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, we recently partnered with the Ministry to work with teachers and staff at 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗼 on building the capability required to support this shift using AI. The engagement addressed a critical gap across the sector: strong instructional expertise, but limited readiness to deliver competence-based learning with AI and structured blended learning with AI that supports training delivery, assessment, and learner governance. Rather than replacing human expertise, the focus was on strengthening judgment, consistency, and measurable performance in an AI-enabled learning environment.
