Can somebody educated in politics explain to me how Mamdani is able to do all this stuff but no other politician is ever able to make any noticeable progress? How does he evade the same bureaucracy the other politicians always blame for not being able to do shit?

The lead developer of Mixtape is maybe the coolest dude I’ve seen in my life. He’s an actual rock star who loves David Lynch. A ball knower among ball knowers.

@BustinChops7 Founders and lead creatives aren't the ones building out gameplay mechanics, dumbass. I'm sure some 40 year old came up with this situation, but someone else actually built it in the game engine. Someone who has clearly never touched a cassette before.

This is what happens when Zoomers try to make a video game about the 90s
Emerald Apple@AI_EmeraldApple

Mixtape review: I didn't play it; I watched it because it has no gameplay. Spoilers ahead. It is, in essence, a cringe nostalgia porn for perpetual adolescents. It's basically 3 friends skate around a sleepy 90's town, cry about a mix tape, drive around, get on a shopping cart, kiss, light a cabin on fire, and "hug it out" while the credits roll. It has ZERO stakes, zero twists, zero balls, just pure... "last day of high school" nostalgia slop set to a real 90's soundtrack. The whole movie/game is just 3 hours of "remember when we did that thing?" flashbacks with no real gameplay, no need for controls + tongue kissing simulator... and then the twist is the rebellion when Cassanda yells at her cop dad, and he just lets her go.... huh?!? It's this usual Hollywood-artsy garbage about everyone learning a gentle lesson about change without accountability that is so common in so many indie movies recently... No wonder the same kind of perpetual adolescent adults love this crap. The story is just aggressively mid... It's just toxic comfort food for the perpetual man-children who want to feel like they are 17 again without ever growing up. So I'm reviewing it like a movie, because the multiple endings are just different dialog options that don't meaningfully change the story. 3/10 - garbage. It's like if they made Superbad into a video game without all the chaos, without the crude jokes, without all the edge. I think the worst thing about this is that these critics really love this... which means so many of these kinds of man-childs are in positions of power, in entertainment and everywhere... no wonder everything is so shit. It's these freaks that have been gatekeeping what gets funded and what doesn't in the West for decades!

kim kardashian failing the bar exam so many times that she gives up on being a lawyer is making me realize the american bar association might just be one of like three remaining institutions in the us that won't just roll over and give the exorbitantly wealthy whatever they want

@heatfromfire @FugyoVax @Danidoesmagic You cant even drink warm milk, or hot soup or broth or water with lemon, but iced coffee and iced tea are fine if you wanna follow the exact word. We all know he meant caffeine found in tea leaves and coffee beans. Words of Wisdom also talks about moderation and sugar is a vice

@FugyoVax @Danidoesmagic Mormons can’t have caffeine so all their shit has 300% the daily limit of sugar. Basically just people doing religious loopholes and that itself created dirty sodas, crumble cookies, Stanley cup water flavor mixes

@sandlerverse despite his reputation, I don’t actually think Sandler has that many “worst of all time” caliber films under his belt… EXCEPT for That’s My Boy (and The Ridiculous 6)

Starting to think that it’s more effective to call out tastelessly reactionary comedy for being hack & poorly written as opposed to focusing on its offensiveness. Go into detail of joke structure, reversal, payoff, revelation as to why it’s lazy & un creative.
