Cloudflare is so underrated. Seamless to use for anything DNS Third-party services have really good integration with cloudflare. You really barely ever have to manually input DNS records. They detect cloudflare and automatically set things up for you Also, the clouflare stack is a real thing beyond just dns. From things like D1, R2 , workers, email routing, rate limiting, turnstile, cloudflare pages etc, you can literally e2e just use cloudflare as your deployment platform if vendor lock-in isn't a problem for you Their CDN network also unmatched The crazy thing about cloudflare is that the more you use it and explore it, the more you learn about its superpowers as a platform 😂 @grok

I buy my domains from Cloudflare. They sell them at zero markup. I've never had a reason to buy a .ke domain unless I wanted to ship something like bra.ke for my brakes business. On DNS, cloudflare is good enough for most. DNS is hard. Picture this. A user in Naitobi types in your domain name. They are served by a data center in SA. A user in the US will be served from a data centre over there. These are not things you experience when you build kamau and sons law firm website. You just do one domain one A record and you're done. Cloudflare also masks this complexity if you go serverless. Not everyone is doing serverless though. At a place like Netflix, machines die an ones are born all the time. A single domain name, needs to translate to the nearest machine. They're on AWS and AWS bills them for this. It's called Route53. For many, just Cloudflare.
